What is your position at Skukuza Golf Club?

Front of house manager.

How long have you been working there?

I have been working at Skukuza Golf Club for 11 years now.

What were you doing before?

I was working at the Skukuza Nursery school as a teacher for the little ones.

Describe a typical day at work

I need to be at work at 06h30 to open the Pro Shop. I sit at reception (this is my office) where I welcome all guests and golfers with a hallo and a smile to let them feel welcome. I do the daily cash ups and sales reports as well as all the admin, HR and Pro Shop orders.

What do you enjoy most about working at Skukuza Golf Club?

All the golfers and the guests that come in, talk to all of us (I love to talk a lot, ha ha ha). Most are like family to me now after the 11 years. I also love the Skukuza Golf Club staff a lot.

Have you met any famous people whilst working there?

Yes, a lot but I do not like to ask for photo’s because they are on holiday and need time to just enjoy our golf club.

Do you play golf?

Not at all.

Who is your favourite golfer?

Ernie Els.

What do you do to relax?

To be with my family at home, I am a family person.
