You’ve finally made it to Los Cabos! Now what are you going to see and do? When trying to find the right excursion to choose from, here are four questions to ask yourself to ensure you find the best activities for you and your family/friends.

To play or to sightsee? That is the question Do you love water? Are you introverted or extroverted?

Do you want to dig into the culture of the area?

If it’s high energy you want, there are excursions that will have you soaring above desert canyons on zip lines, flying across the landscape on your own ATV, or jet skiing along the waves of the Pacific. But if you want to sit back and enjoy doing nothing while sipping on a margarita and taking it all in, then look to excursions like relaxing day and sunset cruises.

Vacationing in Los Cabos provides a good jumping off point for visits Todos Santos, La Isla del Espíritu Santo and sightseeing in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. You can also venture off the beaten path exploring small historical villages on your way to La Paz, Baja California’s capitol city.

Excursions exploring the gorgeous water of the Pacific include scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing and kayaking. If you are in Cabo between December and March, you have the incredible opportunity to swim with whale sharks. And although you won’t actually be in the water, you can also head out to the Sea of Cortez on a whale watching photo safari. Lastly, Los Cabos has become one of the top sports fishing spots in the world.

Do you enjoy traveling with a group, or do you prefer more intimate and private settings? Some excursions will have room for dozens, while others can be arranged just for your private party. Some tours are guided, and some may allow you to explore on your own once you get to the destination. Bring your ideas and questions to your Amstar representative. They will help arrange unforgettable experiences during your stay in Los Cabos.

WELCOME TO LOS CABOS!

Los Cabos is located at the very end of the Baja California Peninsula, surrounded by the waters of the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Sea of Cortez on the other. Rocky cliffs and stretches of desert meet the ocean along countless stretches of sandy beach.

Natural landmarks await, including The Arch, Mount Solmar and Neptune’s Finger. Each of these geological beauties is set in front of a crystalline backdrop of the sea in which you can kayak, snorkel or swim.

Of course, visiting Land’s End can be the beginning of memorable adventures to both Lovers and Divorce Beaches.

Visit in the mild winter months for the chance to go whale-watching with professional boat guides. They will take you out into the open water among sea lions, humpbacks and grey whales who mix and mingle in these stunning waters.

TIEMPO DE FIESTA LOS CABO’S NIGHT SCENE

After catching an amazing sunset melting into the Pacific Ocean, Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo light up-ready for a good time, any night of the week. You’ll find sultry dance clubs and casual bars, DJs and live music, and an eclectic mix of music featuring Latin rhythms, hip-hop, jazz, electronica, salsa and rock. You name it, Los Cabos has it! It’s no wonder this is considered the nightlife capital of southern Baja.

Generally speaking, Cabo San Lucas has the bigger reputation for over-the-top nightlife with most of the action centered around Marina Boulevard. Pulsating clubs like Mandala and Pink Lady feature the latest beats from hip-hop to techno and everything in between.

Several venues offer live music showcasing old-fashioned, good-time rock n’ roll like the Cabo Wabo Cantina (founded by former Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar). The Purple VIP Rooftop Lounge at Breathless Resort is one of the hippest, new offerings on the scene, with daytime pool parties and nightly party passes.

San Jose del Cabo is much more low-key. It’s more about a good drink and conversation as opposed to the dusk-to-dawn all-nighters in Cabo. But don’t worry, it has its wild side as well. Check out Boulevard Mijares in the historic district for several nighttime entertainment spots.

GOLFER’S PARADISE

In addition to being home to fantastic vacation weather, incredible beaches, a warm hospitable people and exciting adventures, Los Cabos is fast becoming a golfer’s paradise. With over fifteen,18-hole professional courses already available and several more under construction or on the drawing board, golf fanatics vacationing in Baja California Sur can challenge themselves to a different round of golf every day of their holiday.

The views from the courses are spectacular. At any given moment you’re playing through oasis-like fairways and greens nestled between desert mountain cliffs and the Sea of Cortez. At some courses, snacks and beverages are included - where an order of tacos and a shot of tequila may or may not help straighten out your slice! And if you’re lucky, one of your tee shots will be framed by the back drop of a breaching whale splashing into the sea in the distance.

The golfing world has clearly discovered Los Cabos. According to Golf Digest, 7 courses in this Pacific coast paradise appear on their list of top Mexico courses. Golf Magazine’s recent “Top 100 Courses in the World” has 2 of Los Cabos’ gems on their list and 5 courses in the destination made Golfweek’s Top Best Caribbean and Mexico courses.

If your vacation or meeting plans include a round of golf, be sure to contact your Amstar representative for more information and tee times.
