Home Missions – In the month of October, the Salvation Army collects funds for Home Missions. The Home Mission funds will be distributed to ministry units in Ontario to help them develop ministry and mission. If you would like to give towards this, please bring your offering on Thanksgiving Sunday October 12th and bring it to the front during a special time in the worship service. You can also give anytime by marking your regularly offering as "Home Missions". Please visit the table in the foyer to pick up your envelopes. Thank you for your support to this important endeavor.
Corps Library - Focus for October 2025: Books by Richard J. Foster - "a Christian theologian and author in the Quaker tradition. His writings speak to a broad Christian audience". (Wiki) He is also the Founder of Renovare which (in summary) "helps people in becoming more like Jesus"
Some of his books are in the Corps Library including the classic Celebration of Discipline (re Spiritual Disciplines). (Two of my favourite books, ever, are Celebration of Discipline and Freedom of Simplicity! CR)"
