An accomplishment not easily met is hosting 45 annual sales and we are sure proud to work with these great operations that have come together to bring you the 2025 edition of the Pembina Triangle Simmental Sale! Cypress River,MB is home to the PTSA and we cordially invite Simmental enthusiasts to join us all November 20th for this monumental event!
There is no better industry to be in and to raise a family in and we feel this is truly one big Simmental family that annually gets together to show case their programs to the world in a fun and caring atmosphere. The friendly competition and camaraderie is second to none at the PTSA and we do hope you take the time out of your busy schedules to join us. The cattle have a deep history of coming out of this sale and becoming big time investments for their new operations. These folks that make up the PTSA are all like minded people with a common goal to raise functional, productive Simmental Cattle for other great breeders to enjoy. You will realize this within minutes of being around the sale building and visiting with the contributors. Some of the salt of the earth people raising great Simmental Cattle at one of the really looked forward to events on the fall calendar await you.

Her dam was purchased years ago from the great people at Northern Lights Simmentals fall female sale and has been a top producer for us ever since. She always calves in January and brings home a top calf on her side. Full sister to her is in the replacement pen so it’s a little easier to part with her this fall, she will be a top producing cow where ever she ends up.

NADIA is one of the top heifer calves in the pen this year. She is off our foundation female that started our purebred simmental herd that we purchased back in fall of 2018 and off Mader night shift 63k. There was some lively discussion as to whether Mulberry would be in the sale! We had full intention of retaining her in herd but with our commitment to offer our best, here she is. Maternal and performance strengths are reflected in her pedigree and EPD’s. Her early service to Lakota only increases her value. A female that demands a second look and serious consideration.

Here is a heifer that’s had lots of people loved while they toured our pasture last summer and now as a bred she demands that’s attention again. We bred Medusa to Northern Lights Slider 19M which we decided would make a great combination with Medusa parentage. Medusa is very clean fronted female which was a treat from her sire Alliance County Deputy plus out of our favourite show cow TCW Jazzebelle 73J which has fullblood genetics on her dam side. Jazzebelle first calf got lots of attention when we showed them as a pair and on his own. He sold in our bull sale for $10,000 and we loved him so much we kept some in herd use semen to use in our heifer pen. If you’re looking for a bred with eye appeal and style here is your girl!

Morgan is out off TCW Glamour which was one of our old show cow that we had to let go this fall so Morgan is her last female that’s going to be sold off her. Glamour backed with our first donor female TCW Ruby plus bred to RF Nitro 219Z which made breeding Glamour to our old fullblood herd sire Fairview Vault 22J an interesting cross. Vault was our friendly giant plus we loved how freely he walked plus he has tons of eye appeal. Morgan is going to be a great cow that can produce both heifer and bulls for her new owners. We also bred Morgan to Northern Lights Slider 16M which will be a great combination with his calving ease should work the best with Morgan’s parentage.

Matilda is our fullblood heifer we have on offer. Matilda is our youngest bred to sell but she has great qualities being off a past show cow TCW Faith that was super docile plus matched with our fullblood herd sire Fairview Vault. Matilda is a well made bred that’s going to work well in any herd with her easy going attitude plus we added a little twist and she was bred to Northern Lights Slider 16M. We have used blk bulls on some of our smaller framed breds for their first breeding which I believe with work great on Matilda for hopefully a sweet blazed calf.

This year we’ll be offering you 3 breds and 1 fall open, all of which are sired by our homegrown bull, Hollywood Knockout 8K. The fall open and mercury 28M will be shown at ag ex. All these females have a strong promise to produce quality calves for years to come.

Welcome to the 2025 pembina triangle simmental association sale.
This year marks a change of pace for me. The age odometer has clinked me over into the senior age group. Fact # 1: I am healthy and not ready to quit. Fact # 2: I look at the age-related factor of my mother (86), I better be out of the cattle business, or down to just a few head, to keep active, when I’m 75, and still make my own decision. So I decided, starting this year, all my replacement heifers will be for sale. Which also means that heifers that I might hold back for my own herd, were available for this sale. This year there are 3 very good FB heifers, and 5 polled PB heifers 2 of which are homo polled.
With the great prices our simmental calves are bringing this year, at the auction markets. I and many others I’m sure, looking forward the what these good females will bring, at these fall female production sales.

Another excellent daughter of Virginia Cheevers. She should be a Full Flech. Also has an excellent temperament. Walk into a pasture or pen with a pail of grain, prepare yourself, for the pail getting suddenly heavy. She will be putting her nose in trying to get the treats before anyone else. She also has that nice deep body. She stood out all last winter as a great heifer. It was a choice, do I take her or 158M to Ag-Ex this year. Again if I would be keeping replacements for my herd. 1 or 2 of these full bloods would be staying home. Bred for a polled Jan calf by Keet’s Ferrous 26F

I believe this heifer is full Flech. One thing that stands out with this heifer, is her width of body. She has a nice long body too. Bred early for a Jan calf by the polled FB bull Keet’s Ferrous 26F. By looking at the progeny record of Keet’s Ferrous, he has been used successfully on heifers. Which is why I purchased his semen.
