The Cathedral School

Discover The Cathedral School for your children. Centrally located in Townsville Australia, the school campus is 24 acres of serene, peaceful gardens shaded by towering rain trees. At its heart lies a natural lagoon teeming with wildlife (a favourite spot for our school fishing club).

The school offers a co-educational program from Prep to Year 12 that is unsurpassed by the betterknown metropolitan schools. Students achieve top academic outcomes and enjoy modern learning and living facilities. Extensive on-campus sporting and social development programs provide students with an environment in which to grow and flourish.

BOARDING YEAR 7 TO 10

Boarding provides an opportunity for the development of character, self-discipline, leadership and initiative, whilst nurturing lifelong friendships. Boarders participate in a range of cocurricular activities outside of school hours including attending cultural, social and sporting events. A weekly schedule of activities to which transport is provided enables students to enjoy independence within a safe and supervised school arranged activity. Some activities charge an entrance fee. It is recommended students have spending money to enable their participation.

Short-Term Program

Sample studying abroad with our short-term Summer School Program! Flexible start dates and minimum oneweek programs provide international students an option to sample studying at The Cathedral School during their summer holidays.

Our Summer School program provides a cultural and language immersion experience. Students will be placed in mainstream classes and be included in the complete educational program. Students are expected to give their best efforts towards the academic program and uphold the rules and expectations placed upon all students enrolled at The Cathedral School. However, students are not required to participate in formal assessment. Students will receive a Certificate of Participation at the conclusion of the program.

START DATES

Summer School enrollments are accepted in terms two, three and four. Students must commence at the start of the week, but can commence in any of the weeks during the term that Summer School is offered. Students must enroll for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 1 term.
