The Jewelry Gems at MAYC
At the heart of every successful fundraiser is a group of dedicated volunteers and ours just happens to sparkle! Meet the Jewelry Gems—a dynamic group of ladies who gather regularly to sort, clean, and prepare donated jewelry for our annual fundraiser. With keen eyes, nimble fingers, and lots of laughter, these ladies turn tangled treasures into beautifully displayed pieces ready to shine once again. Whether it is vintage brooches, costume necklaces, or forgotten earrings, no item goes unnoticed. Each piece is carefully examined, polished, and presented with care in the name of raising funds to support programs and activities that benefit MAYC. Although it is not just about jewelry, the sorting table represents a shared purpose for these women. What started as a simple volunteer task has become a treasured tradition. Their efforts have helped raise thousands of dollars over the years, and their passion and teamwork continue to inspire us all. To our Jewelry Gems, thank you to all the many people who donated jewelry. In addition, a big thank you to all the many volunteers for your time, talent, and sparkle. You all are proof that a little bling and a lot of heart can go a long way. Let's do it again next October!

Movie of the Month: About My Father
Thursday, November 20, 1pm, free
A man's fiancée encourages him (Sebastian Maniscalco) and his old-school Italian father (Robert De Niro) to spend the weekend with her wealthy and exceedingly eccentric family. The events are chaotic, hilarious, and unexpectedly touching as the gathering soon develops into a cultural clash, allowing father and son to discover the true meaning of family. Loosely based on Sebastian Maniscalco’s real-life relationship with his father, the film is a charming blend of comedy and genuine authenticity that is hard to resist.

See this film on our large screen TV with overhead speakers. Popcorn served at a brief intermission. For questions and to register, call 763-786-9375 or visit BlaineMN.gov/MAYCRegister
