Sales Rep for Cobra Puma Golf
PGA Life Member and Quarter-Century Club Member
What is your go-to Music?
Darius Rucker, Counting Crows. I’m a big American Idol and Voice Fan. I have absolutely no musical ability, but I can spot the talent. (I even vote LOL)
What is your go-to type of Movie? 'Landman' is one of the shows I've been watching now. 'Rounders' is my all-time favorite.
What is your go-to Snack? Toast Cheese, Peanut Butter Crackers, or Pringle Chips with a Diet Coke
What is your go-to Food?

Ribeye Steak or My Wife's Lasagna. Whenever I get back to New Jersey, I have to get a pork roll egg sandwich on a kaiser roll at a diner. (it's a Jersey thing)
What is your go-to Club in your bag?
Right now, it's my 7 wood. I can hit it anywhere from 175 to 210 off any lie.

Where did you grow up?
North Brunswick, New Jersey.
Tell us about your family.
- Are you married, and do you have any children?
Married to my wife for 39 years. We started dating in College at WVU in 1982. We have three kids, Carly, Stephanie, and Joe, and Two Grandkids, Valentina and Vincent.
What may people be surprised to learn about you?
I went to WVU as a quarterback and placekicker, but I ended up starting all four years as the punter. I went to training camp with the Steelers and played briefly for the Houston Oilers in 1987. I played competitive table tennis in New Jersey back in High School.
What is the best part of your game?
It has to be my scrambling and recovery shots. Unfortunately, I put myself in some difficult spots from time to time.
What is your best round of Golf?
61 at Uniontown Country Club many years ago.
If you could play one round of golf with any three people (alive or deceased), who would you choose to play with?
Arnold Palmer, Seve Ballesteros, and Sam Snead. It would be great to watch those three strike the ball.

Can you name two of your favorite golf courses that you've played, and what makes them unique to you?
I'm a member at Hannastown in Greensburg, and I really like playing there. The course conditions are always fantastic. My other favorite would be Torrey Pines; the views of the Pacific Ocean are beautiful.
What initially drew you to the game of Golf?
My father would take me out to play when I was young. My first club was a 7 iron that my grandfather welded together from the pieces of a broken shaft. I learned how to swing with that club with wiffle balls, curving them around my house. In high school, my first job was picking the Range at Tamarack Golf Course in New Jersey. It was a very busy county park course where I learned to play.
How long have you been a PGA member, and what made you decide to pursue a career in the PGA of America?
PGA Member since 1990, 36 Years. PGA Life Member and Quarter-Century Club Member. My career dream started for me when I was in High School working for NJPGA Hall of Famer Ed Heuser at Tamarack GC in New Jersey.
What does being a PGA of America Member mean to you?
It means quite a lot to me! It's a bond I'm proud to share with other PGA members. The PGA membership gains credibility and respect from golfers across all sectors of this great game.

Please provide some insight into your previous roles.
Started as an assistant pro in Hilton Head. 1 year each at Sea Pines Resort and The Country Club of Hilton Head.
My first Head Pro position was at The Fairmont Field Club in WV.
My second Head Pro position was at Uniontown Country Club.
On some good advice from fellow PGA member Greg Bowser, I took my first sales rep position with Maxfli in 2000. A good example of one PGA member helping another and giving a guy some good advice. I then went to Srixon for 15 years (this was before many of my customers had ever heard of Srixon).
I spent a few years as the Director of Sales at Nemacolin Resort's Lady Luck Casino.
I've been with Cobra Puma for the last 5 years. Being a Sales rep is very rewarding, it gives me the ability to set my own schedule, travel, and work with many of the PGA professionals in the Section.

What wisdom can you offer about golf careers and the importance of becoming a PGA member?
There are so many more paths a person can take now than when I started 36 years ago. It's nice that a person can go in a direction that his or her strengths and skills lead them to. I learned long ago that it doesn't take a lot of effort to be courteous and friendly. I would recommend to always make it a point to respond and get back to someone's request or question. Even if it's not the response they are looking for, they will respect the prompt response.
Can you give some insight or provide any achievements, accolades, or recognition?
