NOLAN WHITE (Ponyboy Curtis) is thrilled to make his national tour debut with The Outsiders! A proud Nashville native, he recently completed his first year in the University of Michigan’s BFA musical theatre program. When not performing, Nolan enjoys playing guitar and piano and discovering new sushi/ ramen spots. S.E. (SUSIE) HINTON (Author) is one of the most popular and celebrated authors of young adult fiction today. Published when she was just 18 years old, The Outsiders has sold over 15 million copies and been translated into dozens of languages, in addition to being adapted to the screen. She won the American Library Association’s Margaret Edwards Award for significant and lasting contribution to young adult literature. Susie lives in Tulsa, OK.

ADAM RAPP (Book) is the author of numerous plays, which include Nocturne (New York Theatre Workshop), Finer Noble Gases (26th Humana Festival), The Metal Children (The Vineyard) and Red Light Winter (Barrow Street Theatre), for which he won Chicago’s Jeff Award for Best New Work, an Obie and was named a finalist for the 2006 Pulitzer Prize. The Sound Inside received its world premiere at the 2018 Williamstown Theatre Festival and was named one of The New York Times best plays of 2018. It premiered on Broadway at Studio 54 in the fall of 2019 and went on to be nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Play. His playwriting honors include Boston’s Elliot Norton Award, The Helen Merrill Prize, The 2006 Princess Grace Statue, a Lucille Lortel Playwright’s Fellowship, The Benjamin H. Danks Award, the PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation Award and

a 2021 Arts and Letters Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

DANYA TAYMOR (Director) is a Tony and Obie Award-winning director. Recent direction on Broadway includes The Outsiders (Tony Award for Best Musical, Best Director), John Proctor is the Villain (Tony nomination, Drama Desk + OCC Awards) and Pass Over. GUEST SERVICES

Restrooms for Jackson Hall are located one level down from the 6th Avenue entrance, and on each level inside the theater. Restrooms for Polk Theater are located down the stairs to the left of the entrance to the orchestra level and on the tier level.

Booster Seats are available on a first-come first served basis. Please inquire with an usher upon entrance to the theater.

Bars and Concessions are located in the Orchestra, Tier, and Balcony level lobbies for most performances.

An ATM is on G-Level, near the security desk at the Deaderick Street entrance to the building.

All electronic devices including cell phones, watch alarms, cameras, and recorders should be turned off prior to the show.

TPAC strives to present welcoming and accessible experiences in the performing arts and arts education for everyone.

Accessible services include parking, elevators, wheelchair seating, use of a TPAC wheelchair, designated restrooms, and services for patrons with limited hearing and vision. Sensory Friendly kits and assisted listening devices are available at no charge and may be picked up at the patron accessibility kiosk in the lobby. TPAC offers American Sign Language, Open Captioning, Audio Description, and Braille programs on the first Sunday matinee in the HCA Healthcare / TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC Season, presented in partnership with Nissan.
