Pierwsza odmiana uprawna gatunku Eustoma russellianum powstała około roku 1930. Obecnie na całym świecie uprawiane są głównie odmiany Eustomy o pełnych kwiatach. Rynek Eustomy ma duże znaczenie. Dostępnych jest już na nim wiele wspaniałych odmian do uprawy na kwiat cięty, a każdego roku opracowywane są nowe, z nowymi kolorami, większymi kwiatami i nowymi kształtami kwiatów, np. odmiany fryzowane. Największe rynki zbytu tych eleganckich kwiatów ciętych to Niemcy, Rosja, Francja, Włochy i Zjednoczone Królestwo. Lisianthus originated as Eustoma russellianum that grows under desert and prairie conditions in North America and Mexico. The first cultivated form of Eustoma russellianum was developed around 1930. Today, it is primarily the doubleflowered Lisianthus varieties that are being cultivated worldwide. Many splendid cultivars for cut flower production are available already but improved ones with new colours, larger flowers and new flower shapes – such as the fringed varieties for example – are being developed every year for the key Lisianthus market. Each market has its own preferred type, flower size or colour. Florensis Cut Flowers offers Lisianthus young plants year-round and, under the right conditions, it can also be cultivated year-round. It takes 8 to sometimes 24 weeks for the young plants to produce flowers. We have such a large range of products that we can provide every market with just the right Lisianthus variety.
