BEN BAUGHMAN, PH.D.

Meet Ben Baughman, Ph.D., associate professor and director of Gannon’s applied intelligence program and former law enforcement professional with extensive experience as a crime analyst, hostage negotiator, detective and sergeant. Baughman is one of our many faculty experts who brings real-world experience into the classroom to inspire our students to believe in their possibilities.

OUR ERIE

Erie, Pa. is a college town with more than 20,000 students in universities across a 20-mile radius. With small-town friendliness and big-city attractions, there is always something fun to do in Erie, and Gannon’s urban campus is at the center of it all. Not only are we located in a vibrant downtown setting and near the beautiful shores of Lake Erie, but we’re also only a two-hour drive from Cleveland, Buffalo, Pittsburgh or Niagara Falls, Canada.

TRANSFER STUDENT AND FINANCIAL AID CHECKLIST

APPLYING TO GANNON

Submit the admissions application.

Submit the Transfer Recommendation for Gannon University from current or most recent institution attended.

Request that official transcripts from all colleges or institutions attended be sent to the Office of Admissions.

If you began college in Fall 2021 or later, the SAT/ACT score requirement may be waived. Please check with the Office of Admissions. Gannon does not require SAT/ACT scores.

Request that official high school transcripts be sent to the Office of Admissions if applying for a health professions program.

After being accepted to Gannon, watch for your credit evaluation materials to be emailed to you from the Office of Admissions.

Submit your enrollment deposit form through your application portal.

The Registrar’s Office will assist in the creation of your class schedule.

Attend a New Student Orientation prior to the start of the semester.

Request that all final transcripts be sent from your transferring institution to the Office of Admissions.

AFFORDABILITY

For 100 years, affordability has been part of Gannon University’s Mission. Gannon’s Office of Financial Aid has experts who are available to discuss the ways Gannon is making college more affordable and can help students individually as they transfer to the university. We are committed to offering the best financial assistance package possible, including scholarship opportunities for transfer students.

APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID

File the FAFSA (www.studentaid.gov) as soon as possible once the FAFSA is available.

ELIGIBLE TRANSFER CREDITS

Courses you have completed at the college level that are relevant to your selected academic program are eligible for transfer as long as you have earned a grade of “C” (2.0) or better. After acceptance into Gannon, your college transcripts will be sent to the Registrar’s Office for review. You will receive an email indicating the number of credits and courses accepted. A transfer credit evaluation is required for official credit information. Only credits from regionally accredited institutions may be considered for transferability.
