One of Italy’s most northern regions, Friuli-Venezia Giulia doubles as ski holiday destination in the winter months and a fantastic golf break destination in the spring and summer months. It’s a region of natural beauty, mountainous backdrops and mouth-watering cuisine.
Bordering Austria, Slovenia, and the beautiful Adriatic Sea, Friuli-Venezia Giulia is a true tourist haven. The beautiful region has the dramatic Dolomite mountains running through the centre which allows gorgeous views to be seen in every direction.

Although there is just one restaurant onsite, it offers guests traditional cuisine in a modern and spacious area. Fashion Capital Milan, crystal clear waters of both Lake Garda and Lake Como and incredible golf resorts can all be found in Italy’s northern region of Lombardy. It’s golfing paradise and you need to know why.
Lombardy has a rich history of culture and art, with a host of sites to visit, along with typically fantastic Italian cuisine. The brilliant amenities on offer in the region, along with a high-quality golf offering, truly make Lombardy a great place to visit for a golf holiday.
From the Alps to the plains, from cultural cities to small villages steeped in history, the region itself is often referred to as ‘The Lakes’ home to both Lake Garda and Lake Como holding some of Europe’s most picturesque landscapes. Lombardy is also home to fabulous cities, the most famous of which being Milan, Europe’s home of fashion and design, and is the modern epitome of Italian grandeur. There is a wide variety of golf on offer, summed up in three incredible resorts in the area.
The first of which is the wonderful Monticello Golf Club which is home to two of the best courses in the region, the Red and the Blue, both of which are championship quality and have hosted Italian Opens and many other prestigious events. the Italian Open. Allianz Course by Trent Jones Senior is a real test of golf, and arguably is for better players, yet can still be enjoyed by a higher handicapper looking for a challenge.
Allianz Bank Course by Hurdzan-Fry is more forgiving, and a relaxing round of golf. With wide fairways and larger greens, this course is a great place to enjoy 18 holes in northern Italy’s summer sun.
Emilia Romagna is known as one of the most luxurious regions in the entire country, and is home to some of Italy’s most beautiful cities: Bologna, Parma, Modena, and Ferrara.
