There is an owl kingdom, where a variety of owls live. They have a shared mission to care for human children through knowledge.

Some owls are learned scholars, so they write down all kinds of knowledge children need.

Some owls are expert fliers, so they deliver these books to children.

There are also little owls like us. We play happily on the prairie every day.We have a shared hope to grow up quickly so that we can join the work to help human children.

That day, the wisest elder owl was writing stories about faith for children. He was awesome, knowing so many stories about deities and humans. We had a great time listening to the stories.

The deity in the first story is special. The elder said that this deity does not have her own temple. She alternately lives in the homes of many believers. She is Xinshe’s Jiuzhuangma.

But why doesn’t she live in her own temple?

The second deity is the Dragon god. The elder said the Hakka people revere natural geography, so they hold a grand festival for the Dragon god called Dragon God Mountain and Water Festival.

What do the Hakka people do during the festival?

In the third story, there is more than one deity. The Qiao Sheng Xiang Shi Temple in Dongshi is the ancestral temple in Taiwan. The temple enshrines the main deities, Qiao Sheng Xian Shi, He Ye Xian Shi, and Lu Gong Xian Shi. The elder said the three deities all have remarkable crafts.

Oh, what is the rice cake competition all about?

The elder said Dongshi also has a unique festival called Xin Ding Ban Festival, which is to celebrate the birth of newborn human babies. Dongshi also has a street with the highest concentration of temples in Taiwan. The temples on the street hold a rice cake competition during the Lantern Festival every year…
是為了慶祝人類新生兒的誕生;

The elder will give the finished books to the large owls with flying abilities.
One by one, the owls will grab a book with their talons and then fly through the anywhere door into the human world.

Many human children will open the windows and receive the books the owls deliver. They are grateful to the owls for providing them with precious knowledge.

You can help when you grow up and learn to fly.

We’ve done a lot of practices, but we still can’t fly.

Elder, we’ve practiced many times, but we still can’t fly. Since we can run, may we run to deliver books to children? Let us join the work, please!

It’s not only about flying. Your bodies are too small to hold a book in your beak. So, you have to wait until you grow bigger before you can help.

We keep practicing, but we still can’t fly. We all feel frustrated.

Suddenly, we have an idea!

We can lift this piece of wood together and put the books on the wood. In this way,we can move these books…

The elder said it’s a great idea. As long as we work as a team, we can generate greater power.

Elder, I want to learn from them.
Many large owls come to see our teamwork with the elder. Everyone thinks it is a smart way. It not only allows the little owls that can’t fly to help with the delivery but also increases efficiency as boxes can hold more books.

I want to change the way of delivering one book at a time.
Thisisagreatway.
I also want to use boxes to hold books.

More and more large owls use boxes to hold more books. Then they grab the boxes with their talons and soar toward the mountain town…

One day, the boxes full of books fell onto the winding mountain road and became one mobile library after another.

The owl has become the symbol of the mobile library. The thought of caring for the children in the mountain town has been passed down. Knowledge empowers and accompanies children as they grow up, giving them more…
