DESTINATION DEEPDIVES:
THE NEW MIDDLE EAST OF MEANINGFUL LUXURY
LUXURY WITH PURPOSE, WELLNESS WITH SOUL, AND ARCHITECTURE THAT SPEAKS OF FAITH AND FUTURE
Across the Middle East, a quiet transformation is unfolding—one that transcends glittering skylines and record-breaking towers. The region’s new definition of luxury is no longer anchored in opulence alone, but in intention. From Makkah’s sacred hotels that unite devotion and design, to Doha’s wellness sanctuaries along the sea, to Dubai’s new generation of lifestyle hotels that redefine what contemporary comfort means, a subtler story of sophistication is emerging.
In this LUXE feature, we explore four destinations that embody this evolution. Each speaks to a deeper narrative—one where hospitality is a form of art, and every stay tells a story of faith, balance, and belonging.
PART I – LUXURY WITH PURPOSE: THE HEART OF HOSPITALITY IN MAKKAH
In Makkah, hospitality carries an almost spiritual weight. Here, service becomes an act of care, design becomes an extension of faith, and comfort is intertwined with purpose. Every stay is more than accommodation—it is a journey of reflection.
Among the city’s architectural marvels, Raffles Makkah Palace stands as a beacon of serenity and devotion. The property’s 214 suites—each overlooking Al Masjid Al Haram—embody an atmosphere of quiet reverence. Within these elegantly appointed spaces, every detail is deliberate: soft golden tones that mirror the desert dawn, latticework echoing Islamic geometry, and thoughtful layouts that create privacy and tranquillity for prayer.
Service at Raffles Makkah Palace is its own kind of ritual. The butlers here, are custodians of both comfort and culture. Their hospitality transcends luxury—anticipating moments of rest, reflection, and reconnection in one of the most spiritually charged destinations on earth. Guests are not simply attended to; they are cared for, with a warmth that feels deeply human.

Next door, the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, rises as one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks. As part of the iconic Clock Towers complex, it commands sweeping, uninterrupted views of the Holy Kaaba — a setting that places guests at the very heart of Makkah’s sacred rhythm. The tower stands as both architectural marvel and spiritual symbol, embodying the city’s profound blend of faith, heritage, and modern refinement.
Yet within this monumental structure lies an experience of intimacy and grace. Fairmont’s signature hospitality meets Islamic artistry in details both grand and subtle: intricate calligraphy, gilded textures, and softly illuminated interiors that invite reflection. Each room and suite serves as a sanctuary — an elevated space where serenity and reverence meet contemporary luxury.
The Clock Tower Museum, located within the complex, connects guests to a different kind of time — one measured not in minutes but in meaning. Through its exhibits on Islamic astronomy, visitors discover how science and spirituality intertwine in the story of Makkah itself.
From dawn’s first call to prayer to the stillness of night, Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel embodies a rare harmony between grandeur and devotion — a place where every moment feels touched by both heavenly inspiration and human artistry.

Completing the city’s constellation of world-class stays is Voco Makkah Hotel, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts. Designed to accommodate large pilgrim groups while maintaining a personal touch, Voco represents the modern face of hospitality in Makkah— progressive, sustainable, and inclusive. The property’s eco-conscious initiatives, including its Green Key certification, signal a new chapter for the holy city: one where environmental stewardship and spiritual responsibility go hand in hand.
Together, Raffles, Fairmont, and Voco form a triad of purpose-driven luxury—each reflecting a unique expression of Makkah’s hospitality ethos. Here, the grandeur of design and devotion meet in perfect equilibrium, affirming that true luxury lies in creating spaces for the soul.
PART II – SEASIDE DREAMS: DOHA’S COASTAL LUXURY
From the sacred heights of Makkah to the tranquil shores of the Arabian Gulf, Doha tells a different story—one of renewal and rhythm. The Qatari capital has emerged as one of the region’s most progressive luxury destinations, blending art, architecture, and wellbeing into a seamless coastal narrative.
The Alwadi Hotel Doha – MGallery Collection sits at the heart of Msheireb Downtown, a district celebrated for its sustainable urban design and cultural vibrancy. The hotel bridges heritage and modernity with effortless grace—offering a refined yet grounded experience that feels authentically Qatari.
Step inside and you’re enveloped in rich textures and muted palettes inspired by the desert. Arabic motifs are reinterpreted with modern precision, while guests can enjoy views of Souq Waqif and the Corniche.
At its heart, Alwadi Doha is defined by meaningful hospitality. The MGallery brand’s “Memorable Moments” concept is alive here—whether through traditional welcome rituals, curated wellness experiences, or local partnerships that celebrate Qatari artisans.
A short drive away, The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort redefines coastal opulence. Nestled within Katara Cultural Village, this architectural masterpiece evokes the elegance of Mughal and Ottoman palaces— complete with sweeping arches, intricate mosaics, and lush courtyards that open toward the sea.
The resort’s Spa at The Chedi Katara is a destination unto itself. Inspired by ancient healing philosophies and modern wellness science, it features hydrotherapy rituals, and serene spaces that encourage stillness. The spa’s holistic treatments—rooted in natural ingredients and Eastern wisdom—embody The Chedi’s philosophy of understated luxury: indulgence without excess, calm without confinement.
Together with AURA Wellness and Raffles SPA Doha, these sanctuaries are shaping Doha’s emerging identity as a global wellness destination for 2025/26. The city’s luxury hotels are no longer defined merely by their proximity to the sea, but by how they use the sea’s rhythm to inspire healing and reflection.
In Doha, luxury feels elemental—rooted in wind and water, art and architecture. The coastline itself has become a stage for balance, where guests are invited not just to rest, but to renew.

PART III – DUBAI’S CONTEMPORARY ICONS
If Doha whispers wellness, Dubai speaks in the confident cadence of innovation. Yet even here—where glass towers meet golden sands—a quiet shift is taking place. Dubai’s latest generation of hotels is less about grandeur and more about connection.
Among these contemporary icons is the Tumbi Hotel Dubai The Palm, the UAE’s first Tapestry Collection by Hilton. This milestone marks Hilton’s deepening focus on individuality within its global portfolio—bringing a design-forward, lifestyle-driven concept to one of the world’s most iconic coastlines.
Located on the Palm Jumeirah, Tumbi Hotel captures the evolving ethos of Dubai’s hospitality scene: sleek but soulful, luxurious but personal. Each of its 171 rooms is thoughtfully designed to balance functionality with aesthetic warmth. Natural materials, soft lighting, and curated artworks reflect a palette inspired by the Arabian Gulf—creating a sense of effortless harmony between the indoors and the sea beyond.
The property’s wellness offerings, including a contemporary spa and beach access, allow guests to retreat into serenity while remaining connected to Dubai’s cosmopolitan energy.
Tumbi is emblematic of a broader movement within the UAE: the rise of lifestyle luxury. These are spaces designed not merely for travellers to stay, but to live well—blurring the line between leisure and locality. In Tumbi’s ethos, the city’s legendary dynamism finds its softer, more personal echo.
In a destination renowned for spectacle, this hotel demonstrates that true innovation sometimes lies in restraint.

Beyond Doha’s gleaming skyline and the hum of its coastal highways, another rhythm takes hold—one shaped by stillness, soft breezes, and wide open skies. Just moments from the city, Retaj Salwa Resort & Spa unfolds like a serene retreat, offering an escape defined by space, peace, and authentic Arabian hospitality.
Nestled amid lush gardens and tranquil landscapes, the resort’s 168 rooms, suites, and private villas invite guests to unwind in modern comfort. Each space is thoughtfully designed, blending contemporary style with a sense of seclusion. Private terraces and garden views extend outward, creating a seamless connection between indoors and nature.
At the heart of the resort lies the Retaj Spa, a haven of wellness where rejuvenation takes
many forms. Here, hydrotherapy facilities, a state-of-the-art fitness area, and an indoor pool offer a balance between energy and calm. Guests are encouraged to restore both body and spirit through experiences that reflect Retaj’s deep-rooted philosophy of harmony and care.
Dining at Retaj Salwa celebrates the relaxed art of connection. Whether enjoying a leisurely breakfast overlooking manicured gardens or an evening meal beneath the open sky, every setting reflects warmth, simplicity, and quiet sophistication.
In every detail—from intuitive service to the resort’s contemporary Arabian design—Retaj Salwa Resort & Spa embodies the spirit of Qatar’s hospitality: welcoming, sincere, and profoundly restorative. It is a place where luxury feels unhurried, and silence itself becomes the ultimate indulgence.

From the sacred to the serene, from architectural marvels to natural retreats, the Middle East’s luxury landscape is evolving into something deeper—something human.
In Makkah, luxury becomes purpose: the service of faith expressed through care and comfort. In Doha, it becomes wellness: the art of living well, rooted in authenticity and nature. In Dubai, it becomes expression: design and individuality shaping how travellers experience connection. And just beyond the city, at Retaj Salwa, it becomes stillness—the ultimate refinement of peace.
Across these destinations, a shared philosophy unites them: that true luxury lies not in excess, but in essence. It is in the way architecture inspires introspection, in the silence between the waves, and in the hands that serve tea with a smile that feels sincere.
The Middle East is no longer simply a region of landmarks—it is a landscape of meaning. As travellers return again and again, they find that what lingers most is not the grandeur of the spaces, but the grace of the people within them.
In every prayer, every sunrise, every carefully plated dish or whisper of sea breeze, the region continues to write its new story—one where the heart of hospitality beats stronger than ever.
LUXE GLOBAL AWARDS 2025 RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR

MYAZU RIYADH: WHERE MODERN JAPANESE ARTISTRY MEETS SAUDI
EXCELLENCE
LUXE Global Awards 2025 Restaurant of the Year
In the heart of Riyadh, amid a city redefining modern luxury, Myazu Riyadh stands as a beacon of contemporary Japanese culinary art — and now, as the newly crowned LUXE Global Awards 2025 Restaurant of the Year, its reputation for precision, passion, and innovation has reached new heights.
This prestigious accolade comes alongside four global and continent distinctions — Best Luxury Restaurant in the Middle East, Best Luxury Lifestyle Restaurant in the Middle East, Best Japanese Cuisine Globally, and Best Fine Dining Cuisine Globally — affirming Myazu’s status as a world leader in the fine dining sphere.
A Vision Rooted in Craft and Culture
Founded in 2014 by celebrated British Chef Ian Pengelley, Myazu was born from a vision to blend time-honoured Japanese techniques with global
culinary influences and a uniquely Saudi sensibility. As Chef Pengelley and his team — including Executive Head Chef Barry Andrews and Sushi Chef Roy de Castro — refined the concept, they discovered that to truly resonate with Saudi diners, Japanese cuisine had to evolve.
“The palate here is different,” explains Mr.Richard Anthony Reid, Brand Ops Manager at Myazu. “Chef Ian and his team have done a remarkable job redefining what Japanese cuisine could be in the Middle East. It’s modern Japanese with a twist — thoughtful, creative, and deeply connected to the region’s tastes.”
That balance between East and Middle East is at the heart of Myazu’s philosophy. Dishes play with contrast — smoky and sweet, spicy and delicate, traditional and modern — each one a harmonious study in flavor and texture. The result is a menu that delights both purists and adventurers, a dining experience that celebrates innovation while honoring culinary roots.
LUXE GLOBAL AWARDS 2025 RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR
Design That Speaks to the Senses
Beyond the cuisine, Myazu Riyadh’s physical space captures the restaurant’s spirit of sophistication and warmth. Designed by Noriyoshi Muramatsu of Studio Glitt, ne of Japan’s most acclaimed designers, the interior brings together modern architecture, functionality, and luxury. Deep hues, natural textures, and carefully choreographed lighting create an atmosphere that feels both cosmopolitan and intimate — a fitting stage for the artistry on each plate.
Recognition of a Team United by Passion
For Reid, the recognition at this year’s LUXE Global Awards is about far more than the trophy.
“This is for the team,” he says. “We’re over a hundred staff in the restaurant alone — not even counting the massive team behind the scenes. Most of us are expats living in Saudi, supporting families back home. This award is recognition for their sacrifices, their hours, their passion — and for our guests who make it all worthwhile.”
The Drive to Evolve
Success, however, brings new
expectations. “They say once you’re on top, there’s only one way — and that’s down,” Reid reflects.
“So the pressure is even greater now. You don’t just go home and do the same thing. You meet, you reassess, and you reinvent. Awards are meant to push you further, not make you relax.”
That relentless commitment to growth defines Myazu’s place within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving dining landscape — and sets a high standard for restaurants across the region. As the team looks to the future, one thing is certain: Myazu Riyadh’s story is far from complete.
A Culinary Destination Without Equal
Combining artistry, culture, and hospitality, Myazu Riyadh is more than a restaurant — it’s a culinary destination where Japanese craftsmanship meets Saudi soul. From its meticulously balanced dishes to its inspired design, Myazu embodies the new face of fine dining in the Kingdom: confident, creative, and globally admired.
“It’s an honor to accept this award,” Reid says, “but ultimately, this is for the team back home — and their families. v.”

Today, a new generation of luxury spas is redefining what serenity means, blending heritage with holistic innovation to craft experiences that restore body and soul alike.
Among them, AURA Wellness SPA in Dubai, Raffles SPA at Raffles Makkah Palace, and The Spa at The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort in Doha stand as modern sanctuaries — places where calm becomes a calling and wellness an exquisite ritual.

RAFFLES SPA, MAKKAH –SACRED CALM, TIMELESS WELLNESS
In Makkah, where devotion and peace intertwine, Raffles SPA at Raffles Makkah Palace embodies the spiritual essence of wellness. Just steps from the Holy Mosque, it serves as a sanctuary of divine repose, designed for guests seeking to extend their spiritual journey into moments of physical and emotional renewal.
The spa’s design and philosophy reflect the reverence of its setting — a place where stillness, prayer, and wellbeing coexist in quiet harmony. Here, each ritual is considered more than a treatment: it is a reverent embrace, an act of care for both body and spirit. Skilled therapists guide guests through a selection of bespoke treatments, ranging from aromatherapy and muscle de-stress massages to full-body therapies rooted in ancient traditions.
Facilities include separate male and female spas and gyms, as well as sauna and steam rooms, offering a complete environment of calm and privacy. Every experience is meticulously crafted to balance the sacred and the sensory — uplifting the soul as much as soothing the body.
Raffles SPA’s philosophy speaks to the idea that wellness, at its purest, is an extension of worship. Within its tranquil walls, guests are invited to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover equilibrium — leaving not only refreshed, but spiritually renewed.
THE SPA AT THE CHEDI KATARA HOTEL & RESORT, DOHA – WHERE EAST MEETS WELLNESS
Perched along the breathtaking Katara coastline, The Spa at The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort in Qatar is a haven of serenity, where luxury and holistic wellbeing blend seamlessly. Rooted in Eastern traditions and inspired by holistic healing philosophies, the spa offers a deeply immersive journey for mind, body, and soul.
From the moment guests enter, the space evokes calm — with softly lit interiors, tranquil design elements, and an atmosphere of quiet refinement. The spa’s private treatment rooms, hydrotherapy facilities, steam rooms, and plunge pools create a setting where the art of relaxation becomes a sensory experience.
The treatments are carefully curated by skilled therapists who combine ancient Arabian and Asian therapies to deliver truly transformative results. Guests may indulge in soothing massages, invigorating body scrubs, or personalized facials that restore radiance using the finest natural ingredients. Every ritual is designed to awaken the senses while promoting deep inner balance — a reflection of The Chedi’s philosophy of understated sophistication and holistic care.
The Spa at The Chedi Katara goes beyond the expected. It’s not simply a place for rejuvenation but a philosophy of living well, harmonizing Qatar’s coastal beauty with a centuriesold tradition of mindful wellbeing. Here, serenity is not found; it’s cultivated through stillness, care, and connection.

THE SPIRIT OF MIDDLE EASTERN WELLNESS
While each of these destinations reflects a unique expression of luxury, they are bound by a shared understanding — that true wellness begins from within. Across Dubai, Makkah, and Doha, the modern Middle Eastern spa reimagines ancient traditions of purification, renewal, and balance, offering experiences that are both contemporary and deeply cultural.
Whether through marine-inspired Thalgo therapies at AURA, sacred calm at Raffles, or the East-meets-West harmony at The Chedi, guests are invited to embark on journeys that transcend the physical. These sanctuaries of serenity remind us that in the heart of the Middle East — a region long associated with pilgrimage and reflection — wellness is not merely a luxury. It is a continuation of the region’s enduring devotion to peace, presence, and the art of self-care.

FLAVOURS OF THE MIDDLE EAST: WHERE TRADITION MEETS INNOVATION
The Middle East has long been regarded as a crossroads of culture, trade, and tradition — and nowhere is this heritage more evident than in its culinary scene. From rooftop supper clubs that redefine nightlife to intimate restaurants that safeguard centuries-old recipes, dining in this region is as diverse as it is luxurious. Whether overlooking the sacred city of Makkah, gazing out to the Gulf of Oman, or indulging in contemporary Japanese artistry along Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, each table tells a story of connection, creativity, and celebration.
This month, we spotlight six standout destinations — each a testament to how the Middle East embraces tradition while boldly reimagining it for the modern age.
MYAZU JEDDAH – JAPANESE ARTISTRY MEETS SAUDI SOUL

The restaurant’s philosophy revolves around meticulous attention to detail — from sourcing the finest local and international ingredients to providing
warm, intuitive service that feels both personal and refined. Under the creative direction of Chef Director Ian Pengelley, alongside Executive Head Chefs Barry Andrews and Roy de Castro (Sushi), Myazu’s kitchen celebrates modern Japanese craftsmanship through a Saudi lens. Each dish balances authenticity and innovation, executed with traditional Japanese techniques and elevated by international influences.
The subtly lit interiors reflect luxurious comfort and forward-thinking design. Guests are immersed in a
vibrant world of deep blue and matte gold accents, surrounding an open kitchen with a robata grill, wrap-around sushi counter, and lively cocktail bar. The atmosphere is generous and dynamic — a sensory experience where curated music, exquisite flavours, and sophisticated design come together in perfect harmony.

Just steps away, at Raffles Makkah Palace, The Creamery offers a lighter yet equally memorable dining escape. Overlooking the Holy Mosque, it is a retreat designed for pause and pleasure — the kind of place where conversations flow as easily as the coffee, and handcrafted desserts turn a simple moment into something cherished.
The Creamery’s strength lies in its duality: refined yet relaxed. Guests may unwind in the lounge or embrace the open-air terrace, indulging in artisanal ice creams, gourmet treats, and freshly brewed beverages against the most breathtaking of backdrops. For families, it becomes a place to reconnect; for spiritual travelers, it offers a tranquil pause between prayers.

RAFFLES MAKKAH PALACE: A SYMPHONY OF SPIRITUAL LUXURY
An Exclusive Interview with Mr. Ahmed Albik, General Manager
In the heart of Islam’s holiest city, Raffles Makkah Palace stands as a sanctuary of serenity and sophistication—where timeless elegance meets spiritual purpose. Overlooking the Grand Mosque and the Kaaba, the hotel offers guests a deeply personal experience that transcends hospitality to become part of their sacred journey.
In this exclusive interview, Mr. Ahmed Albik, General Manager of Raffles Makkah Palace, shares his reflections on luxury as a philosophy of care, the essence of service in a spiritual destination, and his vision for the future of one of the world’s most revered hotels.
What inspired you to pursue a career in luxury hospitality, and how has your path led you to Raffles Makkah Palace?
Luxury means different things to different people. For me, true luxury is about having a product that reflects the brand’s identity and delivering it with innovation, genuine care, and consistency. It’s about creating memorable experiences through attention to detail, understanding each guest’s preferences, and building authentic relationships that add the wow factor to their journey.
I have always admired the legacy and heritage of the Raffles brand. In 2022, I had the privilege of joining the pre-opening team of Raffles Jeddah, which deepened my appreciation for the brand’s philosophy. Later, the
opportunity to lead Raffles Makkah Palace was exceptionally meaningful— not only because of the property’s iconic status, but also because serving guests in such a unique and blessed destination is both an honor and an inspiration.
Raffles is known for its highly personalized service. How do you instill this sense of care and devotion within your team here in Makkah?
I ensure that Raffles’ brand values are clearly explained, understood, and lived by every colleague. True personalized service only happens when team members are empowered to think creatively and use their intuition to tailor experiences that surprise and delight our guests.
While Raffles is renowned for its signature Butler service, we encourage and train all colleagues to engage genuinely with guests—ensuring they arrive as guests, leave as friends, and return as family.
Many of your guests visit for deeply spiritual reasons. How does the hotel support and enhance their journey while also offering a sanctuary of comfort and elegance?
Makkah is a truly unique destination, rich in spiritual values and traditions. At Raffles Makkah Palace, everything is designed to anticipate and support the needs of our guests on this sacred journey. From our elegantly appointed prayer hall facing the Grand Mosque to the seamlessly integrated live audio transmission from the Haram in every suite, every detail reflects our dedication to elevating both spirituality and comfort.
Equally important, our colleagues respond with genuine empathy to each guest’s needs, ensuring every moment is seamless, meaningful, and uplifting. Every amenity and service is crafted with care, embodying the Raffles spirit of creating an enchanted world where everything feels possible.
Raffles speaks about service as a “symphony of care.” Could you share a personal story or guest moment that truly embodies this philosophy?
We have countless stories that happen every day, because at Raffles Makkah Palace, service is not about simply meeting expectations—it’s about creating moments guests never imagined possible. Many of our repeat visitors become part of our extended family, thanks to the trust and lasting relationships built by our long-serving team.
One story that truly reflects our “symphony of care” happened last year, when a loyal guest asked us to look after his friend and family visiting Makkah for their very first Umrah. Even though it was his scheduled day off, our Guest Experience Manager personally guided them through every step, offering reassurance and support to make the experience smooth and spiritually enriching.
He went even further, escorting the family during their Umrah and later to Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, and the historic Hira Cave—bringing history, values, and meaning into their journey. What could have been overwhelming for a first-time visitor became a life-changing milestone, thanks to the dedication, knowledge, and personal care our team is known for.

In a place so rich in history, how do you balance the timeless traditions of Makkah with modern expectations of luxury hospitality?
In Makkah, our guests arrive with one priority above all else—their spiritual journey, centered on the Grand Mosque. Knowing this, our responsibility as a luxury hospitality provider is to create a seamless stay that allows them to focus entirely on what truly matters, while we anticipate their needs with discretion and care.
Every detail, from the serenity of our prayer hall to the refinement of our personalized service, is designed to elevate their pilgrimage into an experience they will carry with them for a lifetime. It is both a profound honor and a privilege to play a part in such a sacred chapter of their lives.
On a personal level, what does it mean to you to lead Raffles Makkah Palace, a property so closely intertwined with faith and spirituality?
It is a profound honor to have my name associated with Raffles, a brand renowned for its impeccable service and timeless elegance. Raffles is more than a collection of hotels—it is a global family of culturally rich, storied properties.
To lead Raffles Makkah Palace, in the very heart of a city filled with faith, integrity, and values, is both a privilege and a responsibility. Here, we are not only serving guests of the hotel, but the guests of Allah—a distinction that inspires us to consistently be the custodians of community, to provide legendary service, and to stand as champions of culture and care.
What is your vision for Raffles Makkah Palace in the coming years, and how do you see the guest experience evolving?
Although Raffles Makkah Palace continues to exceed guest expectations and achieve outstanding results, I firmly believe that better is always possible, and that there is no ceiling for innovation or creativity.
As hospitality in Saudi Arabia evolves in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, our role is to build on our success while contributing to this national transformation. My vision is for Raffles Makkah Palace to remain a global benchmark of spiritual luxury, while actively developing local talent and showcasing the warmth, generosity, and authenticity deeply rooted in Saudi culture and heritage.

A Legacy of Grace and Devotion
For Mr. Ahmed Albik, luxury is not defined by opulence, but by meaning—by the ability to move guests emotionally and spiritually. At Raffles Makkah Palace, that philosophy resonates in every encounter, every prayer, and every moment of calm overlooking the Holy Haram. In the language of hospitality, few notes are as enduring—or as profound—as those composed in the sacred rhythm of Makkah.

MAKKAH HOTEL & TOWERS: GRACE AND GRANDEUR BESIDE THE HOLY HARAM
Few addresses in the world hold the spiritual and emotional resonance of Makkah Hotel & Towers. Set in the heart of the Holy City, directly overlooking the sacred Masjid, this landmark property embodies the essence of hospitality in one of Islam’s most venerated destinations.
Under the umbrella of Makkah Construction and Development Company (MCDC), the hotel offers 1,437 contemporary rooms and suites, each designed with space, serenity, and devotion in mind. From the moment guests step inside, a sense of reverence and calm pervades every corner—an atmosphere that harmoniously blends spiritual reflection with five-star comfort.
The hotel’s prime location—just steps from the Haram Piazza— makes it the closest hotel to the Holy Haram, offering breathtaking, uninterrupted views of
the Kaaba. Many of its rooms and VIP suites include separate living and dining areas, kitchenettes, and elegant marble bathrooms, allowing families and groups to stay together in privacy and peace. The panoramic glass lifts reveal a majestic perspective of the Holy City, reminding guests of the privilege of being so near to its heart.
Beyond accommodation, Makkah Hotel & Towers offers a full suite of amenities tailored to the modern pilgrim and traveller alike. Prayer rooms, a business centre, executive lounge, and kids’ club ensure that every guest’s needs— spiritual, professional, and familial—are thoughtfully met. The property’s multilingual staff and dedicated concierge services provide seamless support, from arranging tours of nearby holy sites to assisting with local transport and amenities.
Dining here reflects the hotel’s spirit of generosity and global welcome.
Five restaurants offer an array of international and traditional cuisines, catering to guests from every corner of the world. From hearty breakfasts to elegant evening meals shared among families, each culinary experience is crafted with care and respect for tradition.
Located just an hour’s drive from King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Makkah Hotel & Towers provides effortless access to the city’s most significant landmarks, including Zamzam Well, Jabal al-Nour, and the Cave of Hira—places that hold profound meaning for generations of pilgrims.
Yet, beyond its proximity to the Haram and its architectural scale, what defines Makkah Hotel & Towers is its heart: a quiet devotion to service that reflects the spirit of the city itself. Here, luxury is not measured in extravagance, but in grace, care, and the honour of hosting those who come to seek peace and prayer.
