of Iceland & Greenland Experience the Wonder
Dear Traveler,
If your spirit is moved by raw, elemental nature, few places can match Iceland and Greenland.
In landscapes forged by fire and ice, you’ll find roaring waterfalls, black sand beaches, steaming springs and calving glaciers. Watch for Arctic foxes on the tundra, puffins on seaside cliffs and humpbacks breaching in sapphire waters.
No one takes you deeper into Iceland and Greenland than Nat Hab, with adventures that go far beyond conventional routes.
In Iceland, we get you beyond the over-visited Golden Circle into wilder realms others don’t see. Explore massive lava fields, glacier-carved valleys and the remote Highlands, where rhyolite peaks and volcanic vents feel otherworldly. Choose a rare fullloop itinerary or our compact eight-day adventure in the West.
On Greenland’s untouristed east coast, jagged granite spires rise over iceberg-strewn fjords. From our exclusive Base Camp, set out by Zodiac, kayak and on foot to explore vast glacial landscapes and search for whales, seals and other wildlife.
Throughout, our naturalist Expedition Leaders reveal details about the North's landscapes and wildlife, drawing on resources from WWF, Nat Hab's conservation travel partner.
As travel in these destinations continues to grow, our smallgroup expeditions ensure intimate encounters with a wilder side of Iceland and Greenland, away from crowds.
I hope to see you out there,

Our itineraries take you far beyond conventional routes. Our full-loop Iceland adventure reveals the whole of the island with private boat trips along sheer cliffs, hikes across ice-sculpted volcanic terrain, geothermal springs, thundering waterfalls and the remote Westfjords. Our 8-day journey into Iceland's Wild West explores less-traveled realms—the stark Highlands and Snaefellsnes Peninsula, often called “Iceland in miniature.” Ride Icelandic horses, cruise a quiet bay on a private boat, explore a glacier, and soak in hot springs. In Greenland, our private Base Camp on the seldom-visited east coast sits in view of the distant ice sheet. Days unfold with hikes through tundra wildflowers, kayaking and Zodiac excursions among towering icebergs, and cultural encounters like Inuit drum dancing. For the ultimate Arctic immersion, combine both for an expedition into two of Earth’s wildest landscapes.
Nat Hab ventures farther into secluded wilderness, reaching remote places like the thundering Kvernufoss waterfall along Iceland’s south coast.

Wilderness Experiences Small Groups For Intimate
We cap our Iceland and Greenland groups at 9–13 guests for in-depth encounters with nature. We're able to stay in boutique accommodations with local character, and every traveler gets prime seating in our vehicles. Our small group size enables quiet boat rides, perfect for observing breaching whales or close views of puffins nesting on cliffs. We navigate less-traveled roads to discover uncrowded, stunning locations. When we do visit popular sites, our nimble size allows us to visit at less-busy times and explore in quiet contexts, such as private cruises. Crucially, small groups foster a deeper connection with the Nordic landscape, culture and your fellow travelers. The result is an immersive adventure that larger tours simply cannot match.

Specialized Private Flights Vehicles Nat Hab's &
In Iceland and Greenland, distances between destinations are often vast, and roads, where they exist, can be rough. We ease the journey with flights, specialized vehicles and small boats. On the ground in Iceland, Nat Hab’s deluxe Mercedes Sprinter vans get our small groups to wild places in solitude and comfort, leaving over-touristed hotspots to others. In the rugged Central Highlands, we explore via customized 4x4s modified with big tires and extra shock absorption for exclusive access to calderas, waterfalls, canyons and otherworldly vistas. Flightseeing excursions on our Photo Expeditions offer stunning aerial perspectives on the North Atlantic's icy waters, fjord-carved coasts and rugged volcanic landscapes. By combining private flights and purpose-built vehicles, Nat Hab gets you farther and deeper into the most striking and secluded parts of Iceland and Greenland.
Nat Hab's custom vehicles ensure everyone gets a window seat, travels in comfort and arrives safely at secluded spots inaccessible to large tour buses.

Experience Base Camp Nat Hab's
Greenland
Nat Hab's private Base Camp Greenland offers rustic luxury in the Arctic, surrounded by icebound wilderness. Although it’s located in one of the most remote places on the planet, the camp provides a host of amenities usually reserved for far more civilized locales. Guests stay in eight tent cabins housing two persons each, with twin beds outfitted with warm comforters and pillows, a sitting bench, carpet runner, hanging clothing storage, and an en suite odorless dry toilet and washbasin. Built of heavy-duty vinyl on raised platforms, each cabin has a private veranda with a view of the bay and the Greenland ice sheet in the distance. Spacious cabin interiors are warmed by an individual heater, and hot showers are available in a separate bathhouse.
Base Camp Greenland offers rare access to the country's less-visited east coast, combining secluded adventure with deluxe comfort and chef-prepared meals.

You in Immerse Unique & Nature Remote Lodges
Amid the rugged landscapes of Iceland and Greenland, retreat to cozy lodges that blend comfort with the wild environs beyond. These small inns and guesthouses—some with just enough capacity to house our small group—prize sustainability, utilizing geothermal heat and passive solar design. Large windows flood the interiors with natural light and showcase the wilderness beyond. Most feature Nordic design elements, incorporating local materials like wood and stone, on display in Iceland’s Hotel Kria, named after the Arctic tern, and the Hotel Jokulsarlon near Vatnajokull, Europe’s largest glacier. Greenland’s Hotel Angmagssalik offers a hilltop view of the bay and village of Tasiilaq, while Hotel Kulusuk offers simple comfort and sweeping fjord views at the edge of a remote Greenlandic village. Nat Hab’s Base Camp Greenland sits in solitude along Sermilik Fjord, offering distant views of the ice sheet and a rare combination of rustic comfort and exclusivity.

Nature is best experienced from remote accommodations that welcome the outside in, like Iceland's Hotel Jokulsarlon, also known as the Glacier Lagoon Hotel.
