SEPT 26 - OCT 25, 2025
I see you’ve decided to JOIN US! Welcome back to all our loyal returning Deadites! Welcome also to skeptical spouses, adventurous attendees, and all our first-timers! Since closing its first sold-out run in the Gargaro Theater back in February of 2017, PMT has been constantly fielding the question: “When is Evil Dead coming back?” You keep asking so we keep answering, again, and again, and again!
The biggest challenge in re-mounting Evil Dead The Musical is to keep the material fresh for actors and audience while still delivering the same groovy experience. I’m fortunate to be surrounded with the kind of talent on stage and on the production team who loves this crazy, campy piece and strives to find every new laugh, squeezes out a little more blood, belts out more face-melting vocals, and continues to create the world of Ash and those pesky Candarian Demons!
So whether you prefer a safe seat far from the legendary “splatter zone,” or beg for more blood to be sloshed on your bold, intentionally, dazzlingly white outfits, you are guaranteed a perfect night that toes the line between camp, slasher gore, and traditional musical theater. Well…let’s be honest, it often crosses the line with reckless abandon, smirking through the fourth wall every chance it gets!
I couldn’t be happier to continue to bring Evil Dead to PMT.
“We’ve died twice THRICE FOUR TIMES before, now we’re back for more. You can’t kill the dead!”
And now... It’s time!

Please enjoy,
Nick Mitchell Director, Evil Dead The Musical
Pittsburgh Musical Theater
Get ready, because we’re about to dive headfirst into another wild, unforgettable season at Pittsburgh Musical Theater! I’m Colleen Doyno, Executive Director of PMT, and I am thrilled to welcome you to the start of our 2025–2026 season: Unforgettable Moments on Stage— Inspiring Us to Believe in Tomorrow.
What better way to launch this season than with a chainsaw-wielding, laugh-out-loud, over-the-top cult classic? Evil Dead The Musical isn’t just a show—it’s an outrageous, splatter-filled spectacle that blends campy comedy, rockin’ music, and just the right amount of gore. From zombie shenanigans to side-splitting one-liners, this musical takes everything you think you know about theater, turns it upside down, and douses it in a whole lot of fun. Whether you’re in the “splatter zone” or safely seated further back, you’re in for a night you’ll never forget.
And this is just the beginning. This season is filled with stories that will ignite your imagination, stir your emotions, and remind you of the power of theater to bring us together. Every show is designed to leave you with an unforgettable moment—whether it’s laughter, awe, or inspiration—that will carry you into tomorrow with renewed energy and hope.
We’re so grateful to have you here, whether you’re a longtime member of the PMT family or experiencing your very first show with us. You are the reason we do what we do, and your presence makes each performance even more powerful.
So sit back, hold on tight, and get ready for a night of sheer theatrical fun. Welcome to the start of another unforgettable season at PMT!

With gratitude and excitement,

Colleen Doyno Executive Director

Laura BarLetta (cHeryL) is happy to be back in the cellar to reprise her role as Cheryl for the fourth time! Laura first appeared at PMT in 2018 as Kate Monster in Avenue Q, and joined the cast of Evil Dead in 2019. She has worked with Pittsburgh companies such as Stage 62, Little Lake, Off the Wall, Throughline and MTAP. She most recently performed as Mayzie La Bird in Seussical at Stage 62. Credits also include: Cindy Lou The Marvelous Wonderettes (Stage 62); Janet Van De Graaf The Drowsy Chaperone (Stage 62); Cathy The Last 5 Years (Off the Wall); and Olive...Putnam County Spelling Bee (Little Lake). Laura has forever been an avid lover of classic horror films and is thrilled that her three boys, Matthew, Anthony, and Louis, share a love of Halloween and are always down for a good scare. She would like to thank her husband Matt for his continuous support and extends a huge thank you to the cast, crew and production team for pouring their souls (literally) into each moment of this show!
aLLie Burns (enseMBLe, u/s annie, sHeLLy) a performer from the University of Michigan, earned her BFA after creating Marys Anonymous - a devised capstone she wrote, directed, and performed in. The show earned her the 2021 Integrated Project Written Thesis Award. After graduation, Allie continued her training with the Prague Shakespeare Company and The Barrow Group in New York City, studying under Lisa Wolpe, Stephen Singer, and Sidse Ploug. This is her second show with PMT, having recently appeared in the ensemble of Jesus Christ Superstar. Most recently, she played both Dromios in The Comedy of Errors (Steel City Shakespeare Center). Favorite past roles include St. Jimmy in American Idiot (The Summer Company) and Vera/Evil Gabbi in She Kills Monsters (University of Michigan). Allie is also passionate about developing new and experimental work across mediums, from solo performance to video and devised theater. She was a co-founder of We Are Queens, a nonprofit that continues to serve professional dancers in New York City today.
Brecken newton FarreLL* (scott) is back for his 4th year in this production, which, as a horror enthusiast, is always one of his favorites. He was most recently seen as Jesus in PMT’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar
this past April. He has also been seen in other productions such as Jersey Boys, Grease, and Once. Brecken is the guitarist and singer of a rock band, currently producing and recording a debut album, writing and recording his own solo music project, and is beginning to apprentice as an audio/recording engineer. In addition to the arts, he spends a lot of time with historical organizations, especially those who work with veterans. Brecken would like to thank God and his Savior Jesus Christ for gifting him with the skills needed to accomplish his goals, his parents, his brother, his girlfriend, his band mates, and other family and friends for giving him wings to fly. Brecken dedicates his life’s work to his late grandparents, Elmer and Joanne Lauster, who loved nothing more than watching him perform, and now enjoy a front row seat forever. Isaiah 40:31.
Maya FuLLarD (enseMBLe, swinG) is so excited to finally be making her PMT debut and becoming a part of the Evil Dead Family! Maya graduated with a BFA in acting from Point Park University class of 23’! Credits include: Constance, Ride the Cyclone (Pittsburgh Playhouse); Kili, The Hobbit (Pittsburgh Public Theater); Maleficent, Descendants (New Hazlett Theater); Gabrielle, Cinderella (Pittsburgh Playhouse); Everybody, Everybody (Pittsburgh Playhouse). Maya would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting and celebrating her! Happy spooky season and enjoy the show!!!
Brett GooDnack* (asH) They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. By that standard, Brett (Ash) has almost certainly gone mad - because here he is for the sixth time in Evil Dead at PMT. And yet, if madness means getting to put on the chainsaw yet again - in the company of some of his favorite people, no less - he’s more than happy to lose his mind a little. (…. or a little more than a little.) He was last seen in PMT’s Waitress as Dr. Pomatter, a role with just as many sticky situations but decidedly less dismemberment. A lifelong Pittsburgher (J.D. from Duquesne Law, now living in the South Hills) - by day, he is Associate General Counsel for a state banker’s association; by night, a local improviser, writer, and knucklehead. Special thanks to Caitlin (the best
girl in the world), my friends (including Forest, the greatest dog a guy could ask for), and my family – without all of them, I’d never have had the strength and support to keep doing this show again and again. And again. And again. And ag - you get it.
eLexa LinDsay Hanner (u/s LinDa) is a Pittsburgh Native, who is excited to be a part of the Cast of Evil Dead as Linda’s Cover! Elexa has performed with PMT, seen as a Soul Girl in Jesus Christ Superstar (Byham Theater - 2025) and Ensemble in Waitress (Gargaro Theater - 2025). Elexa has credits as a Teaching Artist, Dance Instructor, Choreographer, and a performer with other Theater Companies such as: The Pittsburgh Public Theater, City Theater, Theater Square 2 (Fayetteville, Arkansas), Pittsburgh CLO, The New Hazlett Theater, Pittsburgh Playwrights Theater, and Alumni Theater Company. Elexa is a proud Alumnus of Penn State University - Main Campus (BFA Musical Theater, 2021). Elexa is looking forward to creating art and having fun with this year’s cast of Evil Dead!
kaMiLaH Lay (LinDa, Dance caPtain) Wisconsin-native, Kamilah, is delighted to call the Steel City her home and return to this fantastic show at PMT after appearing in Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene), Evil Dead The Musical (Linda) and Once (Reza). Additional credits include Million Dollar Quartet (Dyanne) and 9 to 5 (Doralee) at San Luis Obispo Rep, Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 (Ensemble, u/s Sonya) at Theatre Raleigh, and Guys and Dolls (Hot Box Girl) at The Fireside Theatre. Kamilah’s a proud alumna of Illinois Wesleyan University, where she earned her BFA in Music Theatre. She extends endless gratitude to Colleen, Nick, Gemma, Francesca, and the entire team of dedicated professionals at PMT. Many thanks and much love to her Midwestern family for their steadfast support in addition to her dearest, Collin. Kamilah aspires to connect, learn, and grow as new opportunities present themselves.
aLex ManaLo* (annie) (she/her) is a Fil-Am theater maker based in Pittsburgh and is elated to be one of the performers this year, as she choreographed in ‘22. Some recent credits: The Importance of Being Earnest
(Pittsburgh Public Theater & Baltimore Center Stage) Guys and Dolls, A Musical Christmas Carol, Charlie Brown, South Pacific, and Gallery of Heroes (PCLO) Miss Bennet: Christmas At Pemberley, Young Playwright’s Festival, catch her next in Little Women this upcoming November (City Theatre). When not performing, she can be found acting as a patient for University of Pittsburgh medical students, giving a tour of her hometown on a Molly’s Trolley, choreographing dances for local high schools, or being the owner of Manalo Movement LLC and curating workshops for healthier practices and intimacy work. Represented by the Docherty Agency. PPU Grad. Proud AEA and Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh member. Much love to this deadly cast and crew, RPK and Appa. Mabuhay! @alexmanalo_
saBina May (sHeLLy, u/s cHeryL) is excited to be returning to the cabin this year! She is a recent graduate of Nazareth University with her BFA in Musical Theater. As a former conservatory student, she is thrilled to be back performing with her forever friends. Some of her past credits include Evil Dead The Musical (Cheryl); Spitfire Grill (Hannah Ferguson); Spring Awakening (Marta). As always, Sabina is thankful for all the miles and smiles shared along the way! @_sabinamay_
Ben naDLer (eD) is pumped for his second chance to get his brains blasted away on stage. Even though he’s a bit-part demon, Ben has been praised for a “star quality” and has even been referred to as an “energetic chameleon” (groovy, right?). Theatre highlights: Franz/Dennis in Sunday In The Park… (Front Porch Theatricals), J. Pierrepont Finch in How To Succeed… (South Park Theatre), Man 1 in The Next Galileo (Pittsburgh CLO), Louis in Angels in America, Pt. 1 (Elsewhere Theatre), & Frederic in Pirates of Penzance (Pittsburgh Savoyards). Screen highlights: Silly Burglar in Lady Luck (Ohio Lottery), Robbie in See You In My Dreams (dir. Bayli Clack), & Olly in The Family Williams (dir. Steven Zhu). Ben also played Blake in the LGBTQ+ short film he wrote/directed, Who He Was, now on the festival circuit. Ben works as the Multimedia Specialist in Public Affairs at Dollar Bank, dropping his stage name for the official Ben Drickman. A big thank you to his voice teacher Thespina Christulides. Love to Scott, family and friends, all these deadites,
and the cats waiting at home! Rep: @dochertyagency / IG: @benjamininadler / www.bennadlerfilm.com
DyLan PaL (knowBy, u/s scott, eD) eagerly rejoins PMT for Evil Dead The Musical. After a professional equestrian career in Lexington, Dylan returned to Pittsburgh and the performing arts. Professional credits include: Front Porch Theatricals’ Pittsburgh professional premiere of BANDSTAND (Wayne Wright), Prime Stage’s Great Expectations (Bentley Drummle), and his PMT debut in 2025’s Jesus Christ Superstar (Apostle/High Priest/Herod’s Band). When not on the stage himself, Dylan can be found teaching dance classes at various companies, assistant directing/choreographing student theatrical productions, playing his trombone, roasting coffee, and riding horses. @d_pal14
Ben sHeeDy (Jake) is truly thrilled and humbled to join this cast and crew! He relocated to Pittsburgh earlier this year and this production was among the chief reasons that prompted him to do so. He was most recently seen onstage in PMT’s production of Waitress as Cal. And that was a thoroughly good time as well, despite the lack of opportunities to spray the audience with blood.
MicHaeL r. stanLey (enseMBLe) is thrilled to be making his PMT debut in Evil Dead The Musical. Michael has been acting, singing, and performing for many years (which includes a Google Fiber commercial — clearly the logical stepping stone to fighting demons in a cabin). A few favorite past roles of his include Jesus (Jesus Christ Superstar), Sky Masterson (Guys and Dolls), Dmitry (Anastasia), and Ren McCormack (Footloose). When he’s not belting notes or battling demonic possessions onstage, Michael can be found working at
Carnegie Mellon University, where he is also pursuing his MBA. An endless thanks to his family for their love and support, and to the cast and crew for letting him be a part of this beautiful bloodbath!
coLLin yates* (enseMBLe, u/s asH, Jake, FiGHt caPtain, aea assistant staGe ManaGer) is thrilled to be returning to the PMT Stage in Evil Dead The Musical. coLLeen Doyno (executive Director, ProDucer) has been with PMT since 1997. Ms. Doyno directed and choreographed countless shows for both the Professional and Conservatory theater companies. Several of these shows have been counted as the “Best of Pittsburgh” in the annual Pittsburgh Post-Gazette year in review; including the Conservatory Theater Company’s 2013 production of Miss Saigon, the first student show to be so honored. In 2013 Colleen’s achievements were recognized with the prestigious “Woman of Integrity” award and her commitment to mentoring young women into future leaders was honored when she was selected as a finalist for the 2013 “Athena” award. Ms. Doyno is a strong advocate for the development of the West End Community, which serves as PMT’s forever home. She has worked with Pittsburgh City Council, PA State and Allegheny County officials and the Mayor’s office to advance growth in the area. She has a deeply held belief in developing our children into healthy, self-assured, well-rounded individuals through the arts. This belief is at the heart of her educational philosophy and has guided the success of the conservatory under her direction. Colleen considers herself fiercely local and is dedicated to concentrating on the positive, found in each individual and each day that she faces. Many thanks to the never ending dedication of the PMT staff, the constant support of the PMT Board of Directors and the love of my amazing family.

eLena FaLGione (intiMacy coorDinator) (she/her) earned her BFA in Musical Theatre longer ago than she’d care to say. She receives ongoing training from several different organizations, principally Theatrical Intimacy Education and Heartland Intimacy. Relationships and their care and keeping are an obsession of hers. Elena’s goal has been cultivating a consent-based space of acceptable risk, giving actors tools for self-advocacy and self regulation, while mitigating the effects of power structures in the rehearsal room. Some of her most favorite Intimacy Work is supporting actors in new plays and collaborating to create a character from the ground up, digging into how they express love physically.
