Founder and CEO Sander J. Sinot’s career began at Henry Dreyfuss Associates in New York, where he worked on industrial design projects across various sectors, including aircraft, trains and speedboats. This foundation in innovation and functional aesthetics left a lasting impression and led him to establish his own studio upon returning to the Netherlands in 1991. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design has since evolved to exclusively serve the luxury sector before dedicating itself entirely to yacht design in 2003.
Today, the studio is renowned for creating extraordinary vessels that are both breathtaking and highly functional. Sinot’s strength lies in its diverse and skilled management team, with expertise spanning architecture, industrial design and luxury craftsmanship. “Their influence infuses every project with innovation, while remaining true
to the timeless principles of elegance and refinement,” reflects Sinot. “This wealth of experience and visionary perspective is key to our ability to redefine what’s possible in yacht design.”
The studio’s design philosophy is rooted in a fusion of innovation, craftsmanship and personalisation. “We are dedicated to creating yachts that reflect the unique desires and lifestyles of our clients,” Sinot explains. By leveraging advanced computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-generated imagery (CGI), the studio ensures transparency and precision throughout the design process.
Sinot’s designs also focus on creating a harmonious relationship between interior and exterior spaces, utilising natural light, fluid layouts and immersive onboard experiences to blur boundaries between indoor and outdoor environments. The 130m superyacht
INSPIRE’s exterior is created using bold architectural lines combined with a pronounced flare-to-tumble shape from bow to stern, creating a balance of elegant curves and solid sturdiness. The light blue-green shade of the hull colour enables the yacht to blend naturally with the seas and skies. This effect is strengthened by the expansive windows, floor-to-ceiling glass façades, multiple hatches, al-fresco lounges and shaded exterior decks

concept Poetry embodies this approach, featuring large, open decks, panoramic glass walls, and an interior layout that promotes natural light and fluid movement. “Poetry’s spatial structure is carefully planned to provide both private sanctuaries and social gathering areas, catering to a client who values both solitude and entertainment,” describes Sinot. Equally visionary is Inspire, a 138m concept that showcases Sinot’s capabilities in creating superyachts that offer functional, experiencedriven spaces. One of the standout features of the design is the blue hole swimming pool that offers direct views to the underwater world through its glass floor. Arguably the most significant feature, however, is the Nemo Room – a submersible underwater room in the keel of the yacht with glass walls.

By setting new standards for functional and experience-driven vessels, Sinot is shaping the future of yacht design. While projects in progress are strictly under wraps, there are certain established and emerging trends that will continue to feature heavily in future designs. “Clients want to spend more time aboard with loved ones and friends, transforming superyachts into true homes on the water,” Sinot discloses. “The increasing focus on hospitality will see yachts featuring more resort-like amenities such as expansive spas, larger lounges, and social gathering
spaces. And the desire to connect with nature translates into design choices that maximise this experience. Features such as full-glass façades, blue hole swimming pools, vast exterior decks, expansive beach areas, and a wide array of water sports equipment are almost standard in our designs.”
By redefining luxury through timeless design, and an uncompromising commitment to customisation, Sinot continues to craft yachts as unique as their owners.
