Strong Employment Outcomes
SETON HALL LAW STUDENTS ACHIEVE CAREER SUCCESS
Seton Hall Law graduates achieve uncommon career success. Employment rates for graduates in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar passage, and in which a J.D. is an advantage, are among the highest ranked in the country. The most common employment destinations for graduates are private practice and judicial clerkships.
THE CASE FOR CLERKSHIPS
Seton Hall Law tracks the employment progress of the graduates who pursue clerkships, though this monitoring is not required by the ABA. As the charts below indicate, well over 90% of the classes of 2012 and 2013 found employment at the end of their clerkships.
Our graduates’ experience is that clerkships help them build their professional networks, refine their legal skills and increase their competitive edge. In both years, the large majority of graduates entered private practice following their clerkships.

Getting Started
HOW TO APPLY
First-year applications are considered for Fall Semester admission only. In order to apply, you must have or plan to obtain a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or a foreign equivalent prior to your anticipated date of enrollment.
THE APPLICATION
The application is available electronically at www. lsac.org, and all supporting documentation must be submitted through a valid Credential Assembly Service (CAS) account.
Required Parts:
n A completed and signed Application for Admission, which includes a required personal statement, activity/extracurricular list and résumé.
n A nonrefundable application fee of $65.
n A current letter of recommendation (written within the last two years). An additional one or two letters are strongly encouraged.
Financing Your Education
TUITION
The tuition and fees for Seton Hall University School of Law are $51,018 for incoming full-time students and $38,474 for incoming part-time students for the 2015-16 academic year.
APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID
All students interested in applying for financial aid (including student loans) must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA may be filed electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov any time after January 1, 2016 for the 2016-17 academic year. Seton Hall Law’s code: G09986. MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
All applicants for admission are reviewed for merit scholarship awards—no separate application is required for consideration. Merit scholarships are selective awards based on outstanding LSAT scores, undergraduate academic performance and academic promise. The Admissions Committee determines the awards and

DECISION PROCESS
Admission to Seton Hall Law is selective and competitive. Decisions are based primarily on academic record and LSAT score, but work experience, school or community service and other interests are taken into consideration. The volume of applications received prevents our use of interviews, but we encourage you to utilize the personal statement in the application to convey the information you would impart in an interview.

IMPORTANT DATES:
