Easy Steps to Success

Holidays to Go is easy to implement at your location. We provide all the tools you’ll need to run a successful promotion. Simply click on the arrow below to access operational and marketing resources.

GETTING STARTED

• Review the operational assets by clicking on the Download Resources Here arrow below.

• For each holiday, share the Menu List with your chef to find the NBO and FMS recipe numbers for all Holidays to Go items.

• Review the Ingredient List.

• Select the most appealing menu items for your guests for each holiday.

• Meet with your client and explain the program.

LOCATION SETUP

• Set your pricing using the Holidays to Go Pricing Guide

• Package orders during select date and time windows, providing At-Home Reheating Instructions with each order. 02 03 04

• Add Holidays to Go to POS system, if not using Infor. Or use the Everyday and Info Item Request Portal to request access to Holidays to Go items.

• Determine run dates for each holiday’s menu at your location.

• Determine staffing needs and decide how quickly you can fulfill orders.

• Identify adequate safe storage, following policies outlined in 1.2.6 Packaged Goods for Retail Sale.

• Designate a team member to oversee the guest ordering process and designate one area where guests can pick up their orders.

MARKETING AND SALES

• Download Digital Marketing Assets, such as digital screens and social media images.

• Download Printable Marketing Assets, such as a customizable marketing brochure, counter cards, napkin inserts and Word templates.

• Locate printed marketing assets, such as banners and posters; these may be included in the Mutualized Promotions Kit shipped to you.

• Display all marketing assets in your café.

• Host preview and sampling days in your café to announce and market Holidays to Go to your guests.

• Guests use the Holidays to Go Order Form to place orders.

• Collect customer payment by any means currently available at your site.

PREPARING ORDERS

• Order ingredients and vendor partner products, based on guest orders.

• Using the Visual Guide to Packaging and Labeling and the Packaging Guide, order packaging and labels.

• Schedule culinary team for order prep.

• Prepare and assemble meals for takeaway orders.

Food Safety Guidelines

Food safety is of utmost importance and HACCP food safety guidelines and procedures must be followed for Holidays to Go products offered for sale to guests for take-home through all stages of preparation, cooking, cooling, holding, packaging, display and storing.

Take-home products must be labeled with this information:

• Product name, ingredients and potential allergens

• Storage instructions

• Reheating instructions (as applicable)

Check local and state Health Department regulations for additional labeling requirements.

Guests will appreciate the talents and time of your café staff in preparing takeaway desserts, allowing you to place a higher value and price on Holidays to Go menu items than on regular café selections. The pricing guide will help you determine the most appropriate pricing for the Holidays to Go program at your location.

DIGITAL ORDERING PLATFORM

To advertise the menu on your CaterTrax site, download the Holidays to Go Order Form from the Download Resources Here arrow below and customize it with the menu items you’re offering, adding run time, payment and pickup instructions. Submit a support ticket to CaterTrax, add the appropriate holiday from the list below and attach your order form to the ticket:
