Submit All Your Official Transcripts From All Previous Institutions
Official Transcripts Requirement
The University of Utah requires official transcripts from every college or university you have attended. This is a standard step for all graduate students and helps confirm your academic record for enrollment.
Here’s how to complete this step:
• By Mail – Request your school to send transcripts directly, or forward them in a sealed envelope (printed within the last 60 days) to:
University of Utah
Office of Admissions – Graduate Admissions Division
201 S 1460 E, Room 250 S SSB
Salt Lake City, UT 84112
• By Email – Ask your school to send official electronic transcripts directly to: admisstranscripts@sa.utah.edu
Completing this early ensures your admission is finalized without delays.
Campus Information System (CIS)
CIS (or the Campus Information System) is the portal students use to access and update personal information, view and pay tuition bills, accept financial aid, access your University email account (UMail), and more.
The first time you sign in to CIS, you will use your UNID and default password, which is your birth date in the format MMDDYY. You will be required to enter a new password before entering the system. This UNID and password will also log you into Canvas (where you will access all of your course materials) and UMail.
UMail is the official University of Utah email system. Your UMail address is your UNID in the format uXXXXXXX@umail.utah.edu. This email address will be used by the University to communicate with you. Please note that Executive MBA staff will continue to communicate with you via the email address you provided on your application unless you request otherwise. You can use CIS to change email settings, create aliases, set up a forwarding address, etc.
If you experience any issues accessing CIS or Umail, we are happy to address them in your Enrollment Success Session.
Accept Your Canvas Course Invitation
You will receive an invitation to the EMBA Onboarding Course in Canvas. Canvas is the University’s learning management system and will serve as your online classroom throughout the program.
Inside the EMBA course, you’ll find modules released throughout the year with important information, resources, and activities to help you prepare for a successful start.
Apply for Financial Aid (if applicable) – Due August 1
If you plan to use financial aid, be sure to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by August 1. The University of Utah’s school code is 003675.
Questions? Contact the Office of Financial Aid at (801) 581-6211 or visit their website.
Submit Proof of Immunity – Due August 1
The University of Utah requires proof of measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) immunity for all students born after December 31, 1956. This can usually be completed by uploading your records online through the Student Patient Portal.
If you don’t have your records, your doctor or the Student Health Center can help. We recommend submitting early in case new vaccines are needed, as there are waiting periods between doses.
Tuition
The total cost of the University of Utah EMBA program tuition will be $98,000. This amount is divided evenly among the five semesters of the program.
The EMBA office will provide an unofficial tuition breakdown each term. Your first bill will appear in CIS around August 1. We encourage early payment to allow time for any billing issues to be resolved.
Payment Options
Tuition may be paid online in CIS, by mailing a check, or at the Cashier’s Office (165 Student Services Building). If your employer covers at least 50% of your tuition, you may qualify for our tuition deferral program. This option allows payment to be postponed until after grades are posted each semester. If you believe you qualify, please contact the EMBA office for details and required paperwork.
