It is a pleasure for me to write these words of greetings and congratulations to the collectors displaying their bottles at Waddington’s Auctioneers on the occasion of the 57th annual convention of the International Chinese Snuff Bottle Society in Toronto from October 14th through October 18th, 2025.
The mission of this Society is to educate and raise the level of connoisseurship by seeing and handling snuff bottles around the world in museums and private collections. Dealer and auctioneer members have always been an important part of our organization by providing bottles to our membership and are a major source of information related to provenance and expertise while attending conventions and meetings. Their participation enables members to see, handle and buy the best available bottles.
The Society also gives members the opportunity to establish relationships and share information with other collector-members to increase knowledge of their own collection above what one may have already experienced. All the above fosters connoisseurship including current discussions on our website’s Forum, www.snuffbottlesociety.org, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
This catalogue is a beautiful souvenir of a lovely exhibition and exceptional moment in the Society’s history for all attendees in Toronto. Thank you Waddington’s!
