An inspirational journey of resilience for wounded veterans

An inspirational journey of resilience for wounded veterans
A ‘release trip’ (‘רורחש לויט’) organized by the Friends Association of the IDF Disabled Veterans Organization is a unique rehabilitative journey designed for Israeli soldiers wounded in the line of duty. The program gives these veterans the chance to experience the classic Israeli post-army backpacking adventure — often to destinations like the Himalayas or India — which is an important rite of passage for many young Israelis.
The Release Trip is designed for soldiers wounded in the line of duty, helping them find strength and return to life with resilience.
The program offers veterans the chance to experience the classic Israeli post-army backpacking adventure — a vital rite of passage.
From the battlefield to the Himalaya, the journey symbolizes healing, growth, and the courage to keep moving forward.
Like the journeys to the Himalayas or India, the program opens new horizons for wounded veterans to discover their strength.
The Himalaya release trip reminds veterans that even the highest summits are within reach when resilience leads the way.
