What is JOTA-JOTI?
Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) & Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI)
JOTA-JOTI is a big Scouting event where you can:
• Talk to other Scouts using radios (JOTA)
• Chat and play with Scouts on the internet (JOTI)
• Make new friends from all over the world!
It’s like a giant Scouting campfire but with radios, computers, and lots of friendly faces from far away!
Be Ready
• Wear your Beaver Scout neckerchief
• Listen to your Scouter’s instructions
• Stay with your Lodge
• Be kind and respectful at all times
Say Hello the Scout Way
When you meet someone online or over the radio:
• Say your first name
• Say where you’re from
• Say something fun about yourself!
Example:
“Hi! I’m Mia from Kerry. I love going on hikes!”
Try saying “Hello” in another language:
• “Hola” – Spanish
• “Bonjour” – French
• “Konnichiwa” – Japanese

• “Jambo” – Swahili
