Rover Guide

JOTA-JOTI is the world’s largest digital and radio Scout event, held every October, connecting millions of Scouts through:

• JOTA – Communicating via amateur radio

• JOTI – Connecting online through safe digital platforms

It's your opportunity to:

• Lead global dialogue

• Explore issues that matter to young people

• Collaborate with Scouts worldwide

• Mentor younger Scouts and support their digital engagement

• Develop skills in facilitation, tech, communication, and intercultural exchange

JOTA – Radio Communication

• Use ham radio (with licensed operators) to contact Scouts globally

• Learn how long-range communication works

• JOTI Chat (safe, moderated global chat platform)

• Workshops, live panels, global challenges

• Follow Safe from Harm guidelines

• Maintain a professional tone in group spaces

• Support younger Scouts in their digital safety

• Report inappropriate behaviour or issues via moderators or Scouters
