Just a year ago, we took the first step together on an unforgettable adventure. Today, we are excited to welcome you to the second edition of Mallorca by UTMB®, an event that is now part of the great UTMB® World Series family and returns with even more strength, more passion, and an even deeper commitment to our land.
Mallorca is not just the stage for a race: it is its very soul. The Serra de Tramuntana, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers us trails that are living history, and we want every stride to also be a gesture of respect for those who have cared for them generation after generation.
This year, we are proud to announce our alliance with the Sóller Agricultural Cooperative, the oldest in Spain. Thanks to the work of its more than 400 members, runners will enjoy local products at the aid stations, reaffirming our commitment to zero-kilometer practices, support for local producers, and the preservation of the island’s identity.
Our vocation to leave a positive impact is also reinforced by our Charity Bibs. For the 2025 edition, we are offering 25 charity bibs, with proceeds, through UTMB® Cares, going to projects that promote inclusion, health, sustainability, and hope: the Fundació Social La Sapiència, which provides scholarships for agricultural and forestry training at the Santuari de Lluc, and the Unoentrecienmil Foundation, a leader in research against childhood leukemia and an inspiration for local initiatives such as 1 KM de VIDA.
This solidarity initiative was born from the story of Mia, a girl diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma at the age of two who managed to overcome it. Her courage, together with the experience of Guiem, family friend, athlete, and promoter of the project, gave rise to this initiative that turns every kilometer into an opportunity for hope.
Inclusion is an essential part of our identity. For this reason, the official trophies of Mallorca by UTMB® are crafted by the Estel Nou Association, an organisation that works to improve the
quality of life of people with disabilities and their families in Sóller and across the Balearic Islands. Thus, every sporting recognition also becomes a gesture of solidarity towards the community.
Because Mallorca by UTMB® is much more than a race: it is a gathering of people, values, and shared dreams. A space where we celebrate personal achievement, solidarity, respect, and connection with nature. Where every runner writes their own story, and together we build a legacy of generosity and unity.
May this edition bring you intense emotions, unforgettable memories, and the certainty that trail running is, above all, a journey towards the best version of ourselves.
Uniting trail runners, both elite and amateur alike, through the leading international events in the most stunning locations.
The UTMB® World Series gives all trail runners the chance to experience UTMB® adventure across the world, discovering cultures and sharing trails as they start their quest towards the UTMB® World Series Finals at the pinnacle HOKA UTMB® MontBlanc.
The mythic HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc is the world’s most well-known and revered trail running event on the planet.
In the heart of the Alps, the prestigious UTMB World Series Finals are held in 3 categories: the OCC (50K), CCC® (100K) and UTMB® (100M) every year at the end of August in Chamonix, France.
Four UTMB World Series Majors, are held each year across the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Oceania regions.
Collect double the amount of Running Stones compared to other UTMB World Series Events for the UTMB World Series Finals lottery. In total, 210 runners are also granted automatic qualification for the UTMB World Series Finals through each Major. This includes age-group category winners and the top 10 male and female runners in the 100M, 100K and 50K categories.
Get the UTMB experience closer to home. Built on a passion for the mountains, with sustainability at its heart, UTMB World Series Events, gives all trail runners the chance to experience the UTMB adventure while showcasing the unique aspects that each race destination offers at over 50 Events around the world.
Earn Running Stones by completing races in the 20K, 50K, 100K, or 100M categories at any UTMB World Series Event or Major.
Running Stones are cumulative and never expire, so you can collect as many as you like over time.
You’ll need just 1 Running Stone from the past two years to qualify for the Finals lottery.
Each Running Stone gives you an extra chance to be selected in the lottery.
Start your journey, gather your Running Stones, and unlock the path to the UTMB World Series Finals!
The UTMB Index measures a runner’s performance across four race categories: 20K, 50K, 100K, and 100M , as well as an overall score.
IT’S ESSENTIAL FOR:
Entering the UTMB World Series Finals lottery (with at least 1 Running Stone)
Defining your start wave to ensure the best race experience.
Exclusive Race Access:
You benefit from a 48-hour priority registration to UTMB World Series Events. And for some 100K and 100M events require a valid UTMB Index for safety or lottery pre-registration.
HOW IT WORKS:
Your UTMB Index is based on your top 5 race results (weighted for recency and performance) over the last 36 months. At least 1 valid race result in the past 24 months is required for a valid UTMB Index.
With over 6,000 races worldwide they are plenty of opportunities to boost your UTMB Index.

UTMB® for the Planet is the name of UTMB® Group’s sustainability strategy, the result of our commitment to creating a positive impact on the world, because we are aware of the importance of our role in shaping a sustainable future for our sport, our communities, and our planet.
UTMB® for the Planet is a promise to our stakeholders, our participants, and our communities that we will strive to make a difference. We are committed to preserving the landscapes in which we run, leaving a constructive legacy in the territories we touch, ensuring the well-being of every runner who joins us on this journey.
This includes initiatives such as NO tee – ONE tree, which aims to support the regeneration of our mountain ecosystems and minimise our impact on the environment.
The purpose of which is to leave a positive legacy in each destination of the UTMB® World Series
To ensure that all runners are welcome, and to protect their well-being at UTMB® events.
UTMB® strongly believes in equal rights and opportunities for all members of the trail running community. We are in the process of creating policies of inclusion and diversity in terms of gender, race, age, social class and other aspects. We strive to grow and continue to evolve the sport to make the UTMB® World Series welcoming to all athletes.
As part of our ongoing commitment to promote the inclusion of athletes with disabilities in trail running, the UTMB® Group has introduced an adapted sport policy which applies to all UTMB® World Series events. This initiative seeks to officially recognise athletes with disabilities and to offer them solutions to facilitate their participation in UTMB® World Series events.
At Mallorca by UTMB® we firmly believe in the transformative power of sport to build a more equal society. That is why one of our commitments is to promote the active participation of women in trail running.
Encouraging their presence in trail running not only represents a step toward gender equality, but also enriches this discipline by strengthening values such as inclusion, resilience, and mutual support.
Overcoming cultural and social barriers, creating safe and welcoming spaces, and highlighting female role models who inspire other women are fundamental pillars for moving forward on this path.
With this goal in mind, Mallorca by UTMB® has launched different initiatives aimed at creating a more inclusive experience for female runners:
• Woman Kit, available at all aid stations and at the finish line, includes basic hygiene products such as pads, tampons, intimate wipes, and hand sanitizer.
• Exclusive women’s restrooms, to ensure greater comfort during the race.
• Female changing rooms at aid stations with life bags (Alaró and Lluc).
• UTMB® pregnancy policy, designed to support women’s participation in all stages of their lives.
• Direct contact channel: if you have questions or need help, we have set up a dedicated email address for women: women.iberia@ utmb.world
At Mallorca by UTMB® we will continue working to build a fairer, more accessible, and more motivating environment for all women who wish to be part of trail running. Because inclusion, respect, and diversity are also part of the journey.
With the aim of supporting the local community, Mallorca by UTMB® has released 25 Charity Bibs for the 2025 event, an initiative that has been running for years at HOKA UTMB® Mont-Blanc.
Runners are being offered the opportunity to access a limited number of Charity Bibs and, in doing so, support a range of local projects focused on solidarity, health, inclusion, and the environment. Through the UTMB® Cares Foundation, all funds raised will be carefully allocated to selected initiatives.
Donations are collected by UTMB® Cares, a non-profit foundation created by the UTMB® Group. A global initiative aimed at uniting the worldwide trail running community to create positive change, supporting local social and environmental causes in race destinations.
Rooted in the values of solidarity, respect, inclusion, authenticity, and humility, UTMB® Cares leverages the global platform of the UTMB® World Series to drive local positive impact, focusing on three main pillars: people, environment, and communities. With this initiative, we invite all runners to contribute their effort to these noble causes, showing that sport can be a powerful tool for social change.
The beneficiary organisations are:
Foundation Social La Sapiència
Agricultural and forestry training scholarships at the Santuari de Lluc. La Sapiència is a social organisation dedicated to assistance, inclusion, and support for people at risk of social exclusion. Funds raised will finance agricultural and forestry training scholarships at the Santuari de Lluc, in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana. These scholarships provide vulnerable people with real opportunities for personal and professional integration, while also helping to preserve Mallorca’s traditional agricultural landscape, a symbol of its cultural and natural heritage.
Foundation Unoentrecienmil.
The solidarity initiative “1 KM of Life” is a sports and charity action carried out in Mallorca to raise awareness and collect funds for children with leukemia.
Participants register through Elitechip, making a minimum donation of €10 to access a route between 6 and 47 km in Sóller and Fornalutx via the Strava platform. The event has been open since July and is scheduled to run until the end of the year.
All funds raised for this cause will be entirely donated to Unoentrecienmil, the foundation receiving the proceeds from this initiative, whose main goal is to promote research and find a cure for childhood leukemia.
Our commitment to the land: Sóller Agricultural Cooperative and the value of zero-kilometer products
At Mallorca by UTMB® we believe that a race is much more than a sporting challenge: it is a way to connect with the land, discover its essence, and pay tribute to those who care for it every single day. Our event is not limited to running through the mountains; it seeks to become part of them and of the life of the community that makes it possible, respecting its identity, its culture, and its natural environment.
That is why we are proud to collaborate with the Sóller Agricultural Cooperative, the oldest in Spain, founded in 1899, and made up of more than 400 members. Farmers who, through their work, keep the emblematic Sóller Valley alive and preserved.
Thanks to this partnership, all race aid stations will feature local products, reaffirming our commitment to zero-kilometer food, supporting local producers, and contributing to the sustainability and development of our community.
Moreover, the Cooperative plays a key role in preserving the landscape and biodiversity of the Serra de Tramuntana, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These are values that at Mallorca by UTMB® we embrace as our own, and that we want to share with all our runners.
The Serra de Tramuntana is not only the main mountain range of the Balearic Islands, but also one of the most captivating landscapes in the Mediterranean. Located on the northwest coast of Mallorca, this range stretches for more than 90 kilometers and covers an area of 63,000 hectares, over a thousand of them marine, forming a natural mosaic of sharp peaks, deep ravines, centuries-old olive groves, and hidden coves that surprise at every turn.
Since 2011, the Serra has held UNESCO World Heritage status in the Cultural Landscape category, a recognition that celebrates the harmonious coexistence between humans and their environment. For centuries, local communities have shaped this territory with terraces, dry-stone walls, and complex hydraulic systems that still channel mountain water today. The result is a unique landscape where nature and culture are inseparably intertwined.
Twenty municipalities make up this natural gem, stretching from Andratx to Pollença, with villages that have preserved their authentic charm intact. Sóller, Fornalutx, Deià, Valldemossa, Banyalbufar, and Estellencs are just some examples of the rich cultural heritage that beats at the heart of the mountains. Here, life unfolds calmly among cobbled streets, stone houses, and traditions that endure with strength.
Exploring the Serra de Tramuntana means immersing yourself in a profound and genuine Mallorca. Whether walking along ancient stone paths, hiking its trails, or simply gazing at the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean from over a thousand meters above sea level, this mountain range offers an unforgettable experience to all who dare to discover it.

• BE AWARE OF THE CHALLENGE THAT THIS RACE REPRESENTS. You are prepared to face a demanding event in the high mountains and you have previously acquired the necessary autonomy to manage the challenges involved:
* Tackle extreme weather conditions (night, wind, cold, rain, snow or fog) on your own.
* Manage, even alone, physical or mental fatigue, muscular discomfort, digestive problems or minor injuries.
* Be aware that safety depends, to a large extent, on your ability to adapt to adverse situations, foreseen or unforeseen.
• RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND EVERYONE INVOLVED. We want you to live an unforgettable experience and contribute to everyone enjoying it as much as you do:
* Come with the desire to enjoy yourself, even if it rains, snows or the wind blows! And above all, don’t forget to smile!
* Show respect to all those who make the race possible: volunteers, organisation, medical services and collaborators.
* Take care of the trails, the flora, the fauna... This natural environment is an essential part of the experience.
* Always follow the instructions of the staff and post leaders: they are there to help you and ensure your safety.
* Show solidarity with other runners and offer help if someone needs it. In the mountains, we are all a team.
* Take all your waste with you. The only thing you can leave behind are footprints... and good memories.
• ENJOY THE JOURNEY. Every landscape and every emotion are part of an experience that you will remember forever You are the protagonist of this story!

Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, an archipelago located in the westernmost Mediterranean. The most comfortable way to travel to the island is by air, since Palma’s international airport offers great connectivity with other Spanish or European cities. But there are many more options:
Mallorca has two ports intended for passenger traffic, the port of Palma, the main port of the island, and the port of Alcúdia. Three companies currently connect Mallorca with other Spanish ports (Barcelona, Valencia and Denia), in addition to linking with the rest of the Balearic Islands (Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera). It is also possible to reach our island by sea from France (Toulon).
The Port of Alcúdia is located on the north coast of Mallorca, in the bay of the same name. It is a very popular summer resort for the Mallorcan population and one of the busiest tourist areas.
Palma is connected to Barcelona, Valencia and Denia. The journey to the Peninsula lasts between six and eight hours, depending on the destination and type of boat.
The most comfortable and fastest way to get to the island is by plane, since Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), also known as Son Sant Joan International Airport, is the third largest airport in Spain and is one of the airports with the greatest air connectivity in the Mediterranean. Destinations and airlines HERE.
More than 70 airlines operate at the airport. The main European capitals are less than 3 hours away by flight, Madrid is 1 hour away, and Barcelona is approximately 30 minutes away.
Public transport (bus or train) or private transport (vehicle rental).
Getting around Mallorca by bus is an option, but only to connect important cities. Mallorca has a public transport network managed by Transport of the Balearic Islands (TIP), which links Palma with the main population centers of the entire island.
Check schedules and rates HERE.
On race days, the organisation will provide bus transportation to those runners staying in different areas of the island.
The island has three major train lines and all of them depart from the Palma de Mallorca Intermodal station, which is located in Plaza de España.
• T1 is the line that ends in Inca Estació and runs through a good part of northern Mallorca.
• The T2 reaches Sa Pobla, one of the most important towns in the east of Mallorca.
• T3 heads towards Manacor, a town that serves to explore the south of Mallorca.
Mallorca train schedules HERE.
Use public transport to save the environment!
Mallorca by UTMB® has set up a transport plan which offers a collective solution for the travel of runners to the START and return to their place of origin.
Tickets must be purchased on the registration platform through your runner area. Tickets are for runners only, not for supporters. Prices vary according to the stripe (information at the time of registration). You can buy a return ticket or a oneway ticket. They are separate tickets. The tickets you purchase will be indicated on your bib number, so when you board the bus, your bib number will be checked. No tickets will be sold during the event or in the Ultra-Trail Village
Prices include VAT and Compulsory Travel Insurance. The transport is operated by a specialised company.
At the SDT and CPS starts in Estellencs, there will be no designated parking areas or public parking, so it is NOT POSSIBLE to arrive by private vehicle. In Selva (ETM) and Valldemossa (CDA), public parking is very limited, so we cannot guarantee available spaces for private cars.
In Mallorca by UTMB® we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment, and for this reason we have implemented a transport plan which promotes sustainability and respect for the natural environment. With this initiative, we seek to significantly reduce the number of vehicles circulating around the island during the event, minimising the inconvenience to the local population and reducing the ecological impact.
Runners must book their bus seat PRIOR to the race, on their registration page.

From Mallorca by UTMB® we want to propose a series of good practices so that our dream, your dream, remains a reality.
Thank you for your collaboration!
THE
Have fun while practicing sports, but always respect the regulations of the area. Try to follow the routes marked in advance, and avoid shortcuts that cause unnecessary erosion of the terrain.
The Serra de Tramuntana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a protected natural area, so you must comply with a series of rules to travel through it. Learn more about the Serra de Tramontana HERE
EVERY DROP COUNTS
Don’t waste water. Buy only what you need and avoid single-use plastics and disposable materials.
REUSE YOUR DROP BAG
If you have already participated in a race of UTMB® World Series and you keep your life bag, give it a second chance and reuse it in. Be sustainable.
SEPARATE GIVES LIFE
Deposit waste in the authorized selective collection containers. Outside of the aid stations, carry them with you in your backpack to the nearest trash can.
HYGIENE IN NATURE
Do not pollute fountains and streams with your biological waste. Make sure your feces are well covered and away from trails and water areas. Use as little toilet paper as possible to reduce waste, and remember to take it with you and deposit it in the designated containers. In the envelope along with your bib number you will find a bag for this purpose, but it doesn’t hurt to carry another one.
While you run or walk, do not disturb the fauna and flora, especially in the mountains.
Noise pollution can bother both people and native species. Avoid unnecessary noise and commotion so as not to disturb, especially in mountain areas.
Avoid unnecessary CO2 emissions. Use public transportation when traveling within the island, if possible. If you need to use your vehicle, park it in the parking spaces provided for this purpose.
When you are not driving, always turn off the engines.
Help boost rural economies by using local services and consuming local products.
When passing through a barrier or gate, always leave it closed. And remember, if you pass through private lands, do not pick fruits from the trees without authorization from the owner.
Take care of the natural environment and leave it as it would be if you had not passed through there.
REMEMBER !
You must have contracted accident insurance that you must upload on your registration page, or purchase the one offered by the race organisation on the registration platform. The bib will not be given to those runners without accident insurance loaded on the registration platform. It is the rider’s responsibility to have adequate insurance. The organisation will only verify that the runner has insurance and it is current.
REMEMBER !
Book your appointment to pick up your SDT, CPS, ETM, and CDA bib on your registration page if you have not already done so.
REMEMBER !
Reserve your spot on the shuttle to reach the SDT, CPS, ETM, and CDA starts on the registration platform.
REMEMBER !
It will not be possible to change the runner’s shirt that we will give you along with the bib.
REMEMBER !
If when you arrive in Spain you have contracted a mobile phone line, remember to communicate your new phone number to the organisation. You can modify it by entering your registration page, or request the change in the bib collection.
REMEMBER !
Download the free application for tracking and information: LIVETRAIL.
REMEMBER !
During the race, keep in mind that when passing through a checkpoint you must leave it before the deadline set by the organisation (regardless of the time you arrived).
Participation in the Mallorca by UTMB® races implies the express and unreserved acceptance of the regulations published on the web page mallorca.utmb.world and of any instructions given by the organiser and his team to the participants. It also implies the acceptance of the basic rules of companionship and help between runners and of measures of eco-responsibility.
To avoid crowds and unnecessary waiting times, a PRIOR APPOINTMENT must be requested to collect bibs. Runners can reserve the time slot that best suits their needs to collect their bib through their registration page. Bibs will not be delivered without having a PRIOR APPOINTMENT.
For bib collection, which will take place at the Ultra-Trail ® Village, in Sóller, it will be mandatory to present ID, supporting document or PASSPORT.
In addition, runners must have uploaded their accident insurance on the registration platform prior to the event, or have purchased the insurance proposed by the organisation.
NO BIB BIB WILL BE GIVEN TO A RUNNER WITHOUT ACCIDENT INSURANCE.
The collection of bibs will be personal. No bib number can be collected by a third person for security reasons. We must verify the veracity of the data in person and each of you will be given the runner’s bracelet that gives access to the race services.
The bib number must be worn on the chest or belly and must be visible permanently and in its entirety throughout the race. It must always be positioned above any garment and, in no case, can it be fixed on the backpack or a leg.
The bib number is the necessary pass to access buses, aid stations, infirmaries, storage areas, or bag recovery... Except in the case of refusing to obey the decision of a race official, the bib number is never withdrawn, but in case withdraw is deactivated and checked.
Safety pins will not be provided. To reduce waste and minimize environmental impact, safety pins will not be distributed during bib collection. Each runner must attach their bib using their own fastening system (bib belt, magnetic clips, elastic cords, etc.). Make sure it is visible at all times during the race.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Each runner will be given 2 electronic chips (front bib and backpack bib) except Escales del Calvari, en la CDA y la PDS - Joves Promeses, and an identification bracelet. Some checkpoints will be automatic and others manual. There will be other surprise checkpoints carried out by the organisation.
Runners who are not in possession of their chips and bracelet will be penalised.
The use of the chip is very important to be able to control your times.
You must place the chip in your race backpack, visibly, with a clip which you will find in the envelope of your bib number.
For logistical reasons, UTMB® World Series events only accept UTMB® World Series drop bags, which are distributed at the bib delivery. These bags are reusable, so we ask runners who have already received one of these bags to reuse it each time they participate in a UTMB® World Series event.
SDT:
At the time of bib collection, each participant receives 2 bags of 30 liters. After filling them with the clothing and items the runner considers necessary, they will deposit them in a place near the start. One of the bags will be transported by the organization to the ALARÓ aid station, and the other to the LLUC aid station. When the runner arrives at these aid stations, they may collect their bag. Upon leaving the aid station, the runner personally must deposit the bag in the area designated for that purpose. The organization will return the bags to PORT DE SÓLLER.
CPS:
At the time of bib collection, each participant receives 1 bag of 30 liters. After filling it with the clothing and items the runner considers necessary, they will deposit it at the start line. The bag will be transported by the organization to the ALARÓ aid station. When the runner arrives at the aid station, they may collect their bag. Upon leaving the aid station, the runner personally must deposit the bag in the area designated for that purpose. The organization will transport the bag to PORT DE SÓLLER.
ETM and CDA:
At the time of bib collection, each participant receives 1 bag of 30 liters. After filling it with the clothing and items the runner considers necessary, they will deposit it at the start line. The organization will transport the bag to PORT DE SÓLLER.
Runners, or their relatives, will be able to collect the bags upon presentation of their bib number. They must be rcollected at the finish line no later than two hours after the close of the race. The organisation ensures the return of the bags of runners who have abandoned, provided that the abandonment has been registered.
The return time of the bag will depend on logistical needs. The organisation does not guarantee the return of all bags in Port de Sóller / Pollença before the end of the race.
Only the bags provided by the organisation will be transported. Poles cannot be transported in bags. The contents of the bags will not be verified, and no complaints about their contents will be entertained.
It is recommended not to deposit valuable objects. We recommend that you have spare clothes and hygiene products in the arrival areas.
In order to avoid the waste of disposable plastic cups, plates and cutlery during the race, everyone must bring their own, with a minimum capacity of 15 cl.
Canteens or containers with lids are not accepted in place of glasses.
The organisation will not distribute any type of disposable tableware (cutlery, glasses, bowls) at the life bases or aid stations. The organisation will not distribute any type of disposable tableware (cutlery, glasses, bowls) at the life bases or aid stations.
Perfect, but you can only show it on the clothing or material used during the race. Any other advertising accessory (flag, banner...) is prohibited at any point along the route, including the finish line.
If poles are used, they must have rubber tips (for all distances and throughout the entire race), in accordance with the environmental regulations of the Paratge Natural de la Serra de Tramuntana.
Each runner must carry a spare set of rubber tips, in case the originals are lost or damaged during the race.
In the event of heavy rain on the day of the race or the day before, the organisation may prohibit the use of poles, in compliance with the conditions established in the environmental permit.
Help us preserve natural spaces. Don’t throw your waste on the routes! We all share the responsibility of keeping our playing field clean. Don’t forget to bring a bag to transport your waste between two points equipped with trash cans.
Remember: The Serra de Tramuntana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a protected natural area, so you must comply with a series of rules to travel through it. Learn more about the Serra de Tramuntana HERE.
Volunteers are there to help you, but also to ensure respect for the rules. Among them, the race marshals will have precise orders, especially with regard to the immediate application of penalties in real time in case of not respecting the Regulations.
Downtime penalties apply during the race. Specifically, this penalty entails a regression in the classification for those who are at the head of the race, and the risk of not passing the time barrier for those who are in further back positions.
The race marshals are authorized to control the mandatory material at the start and at various points along the route. The absence of an element of the mandatory safety material implies immediate disqualification.
To know the penalties applied you can read the complete Regulations in: mallorca.utmb.world
The most important cases will be analyzed in coordination with the career direction.
All races are carried out on a semi-autonomous basis and, therefore, runners will also have to provide their own reserves. Runners must be able to organize their own survival between two aid stations. For this reason, at the departure of the aid station, only liquids may be provided.
The organisation will provide liquid and solid provisioning along the routes. The organisation provides mineral water or energy drink to refill the obligatory liquid bags and individual cups. It is the responsibility of the runner to have, when leaving the aid station, the necessary amount of drink and food to reach the next aid station.
Only runners wearing a visible race bib on their chest or belly and their wristband will have access to the aid stations.
The organisation will only provide water or energy drinks to fill the flasks or hydration bags. Other drinks must only be consumed at the aid stations.
There will be 3 types of supplies:
- Drinks only.
These time barriers are calculated to allow participants to reach the finish line in the maximum time imposed, making eventual stops (food, rest...). To be authorized to continue the race, participants must leave the checkpoint before the posted cut-off time (regardless of the time of arrival at the checkpoint).
Participants will have to pass through the checkpoints that will be clearly visible and that, for the most part, coincide with the aid stations. At each checkpoint there will be staff from the organisation who will verify the passage of the runners. Participants are responsible for ensuring that the controller has verified their passage through each checkpoint .
A broom team from the organisation will do the route closing the races. The instructions of the organisation and security personnel must be followed at all times. No runner may leave a checkpoint behind the broom team.
For better night vision, the beacons are equipped with a part made of reflective material that reflects the light from the front.
If you don’t see markers, turn back!
*Out of respect for the environment, no type of paint is used on the trails.
Except in the case of injury or accident, a participant may not abandon the race except at an aid station set up for withdraw.
In case of withdraw, you must notify the organisation staff as quickly as possible at the nearest aid station or, if not, by calling the Race Control Center (CECOR) telephone number found on the race number. In this case, the number will be marked as “withdraw”. The runner will keep his/ her bib as it is the passport to access buses and other services.
The participant will also have to inform the aid station how he/she will return to his/her place of origin, or if he/she needs transport to the departure point or to the nearest point with public transportation service. All runners who have withdrawn will be evacuated to the finish line or to a point with public transportation service (free for runners). Of course, it must be taken into account that the logistics in these cases are complicated and the runner may have to wait a while before transportation. We ask for your understanding.
Runners who withdraw at another point on the route, or at an aid station where no possible transportation is planned, but whose health status does not require evacuation, must reach the nearest transport/return point as soon as possible, and by their own means.
In case of unfavorable weather conditions that justify the partial or total suspension of the race, the organisation ensures the runners’ return to the finish line in the shortest possible time.
In case of withdraw due to injury or accident that prevents the approach on foot to the nearest checkpoint, the participant must report the situation to the event’s emergency center, whose telephone number will be found on their bib number (Race Control Center Emergency Telephone +34 973 643 651) , or to112.
Emergency telephone:
CECOR
+34 973 643 651
112 Emergencies
We recommend saving these numbers in your contact book as “ aaMLL ” to make it easier to find them if necessary.
Solidarity among participants is key for these cases. Collaboration must take precedence over competitiveness. Respect and camaraderie between runners will be crucial in this type of situation.
When crossing roads and urban streets, runners do not have priority over vehicles. Traffic regulations must be respected.
In the races that cross the Port de Sóller Tram tracks (Av. Sóller), runners must give way to trams at the level crossing.
Personal assistance is allowed only at some aid stations. The aid stations where assistance is allowed are:
SDT ALARÓ AND LLUC
CPS ALARÓ
Access by private vehicle to most of the aid stations is not allowed. Please consult the Companion Guide starting from page 96.
Aid stations with assistance allowed :
SDT
AID. 5 ALARÓ (KM. 60)
AID. 9 LLUC (KM. 97)
CPS
AID. 5 ALARÓ (KM. 60)
ASSISTANCE IS NOT ALLOWED AT THE REST OF THE DISTANCES .
Only one person will provide assistance, in the area specifically reserved for this use, after identifying themselves by means of a “SUPPORTER – Number BIB” accreditation and at the discretion of the head of the supply station (the rest of the supply station is strictly reserved for the runners). SUPPORTER accreditations are delivered at the time of bib collection. The runner is free to give them to the people he/she considers.
Your assistance only has the right to access with a hand bag (maximum 30 liters) to transport the necessary products (food, clothing...). Assistance provided by professionals, or any medical or paramedical professional, is strictly prohibited. This measure is a guarantee of equity between runners. Naturally this does not prevent your family and friends from supporting you throughout the race.
In order to ensure that everything runs smoothly and harmoniously, please ask your assistants to respect the instructions of the aid station manager.
Always in order to ensure equality between competitors, whatever their level, it is prohibited for an unregistered person to accompany you in any part or all of the race, outside of the clearly identified tolerance zones near the aid stations. This authorizes small family walks at confluence sites, but prohibits “hares.”
There will be race marshals at various points along the route and they will be able to impose penalties in real time if the Regulations are not respected.

Trail running races are held in open areas, in the mountains, and in villages. Spaces that we share with other people. As runners, we do not have exclusive use of these trails, so we must respect other users, whether they are cyclists, walkers, horse riders... We all have the right to enjoy this spectacular natural environment, and we must all respect it, and respect each other.
Mallorca by UTMB® is held thanks to the generosity of numerous private estate owners. Many of these are only allowed to be used during the races. Respect the owners and do not enter private properties without authorisation. Close the cattle control gates as you pass through. We will provide the Gpx files a few days before the race, so you can upload them to your watch. This does not generate rights of way for the rest of the year.
The roads, streets and tracks are open to vehicular traffic. As a runner you have no right of way and must comply with the traffic rules for pedestrians. Road crossings will be marked with signs. Before crossing, make sure that there are no vehicles in traffic.
The Mallorca by UTMB® races take place in the middle of nature, in mountainous areas, in isolated areas (far from the main road networks, telecommunications...), with weather that can change very quickly and become adverse.
Instructions to keep in mind during the race:
• Don’t stop in high areas.
• If you lose the beacons, turn around to look for the last one.
• Stay on the roads.
Tips for dealing with complicated weather:
• Anticipate extreme heat and cold.
• Don’t wait until you are shivering to get warm.
• Don’t change exposed in the wind: Anticipate or wait until you are under cover.
• Protect yourself from the sun.
Be careful with the poles, especially in the first part of the race, where the density of runners is particularly high. Do not use the straps during descents since, in the event of a strong fall, the straps prevent proper recovery with the hands (injuries to the shoulders, wrists, forearms..., or head).
Hydration and energy intake must be adapted to the weather conditions, and enriched with salts throughout the effort. Maintain a good balance between slow sugars and fast sugars.
At the aid stations there are places provided to rest. We recommend that runners rest at the aid stations set up for this purpose.
Every runner must stay on the marked path, even when sleeping. If you need to sleep on the way, it is highly advisable to use the “sleep bib” provided by the organisation (SDT). This number allows you to indicate that you want to get some sleep without being disturbed. It can be dangerous to stop alone in nature to sleep.
Tiredness and lack of concentration can be the cause of an accident. Run according to your possibilities in order to reserve energy to overcome a difficult situation, such as a sudden change in weather.
Any runner who voluntarily leaves the marked path is no longer under the responsibility of the organisation.
In order to take the departure, we remind you that every participant must be in possession of individual accident insurance that covers rescue and evacuation expenses in the mountains, in Spanish territory, up to at least 1,500 meters of altitude, as well as probable expenses of hospitalisation
The insurance must cover the practice of trail running and participation in long-distance mountain races. The insurance can be subscribed from any organisation, federation, or insurance company of the participant’s choice as long as it meets the REQUIREMENTS INDICATED ABOVE.
Verify with your insurance company or federation that your insurance meets the requirements.
IT IS THE RUNNER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATE INSURANCE. THE ORGANISATION WILL ONLY VERIFY THAT THE RUNNER HAS INSURANCE AND IT IS CURRENT. IN THE EVENT OF NOT COMPLYING WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS, IT WILL BE THE RUNNER THEMSELVES WHO WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE MEDICAL AND RESCUE EXPENSES.
However, the organisation makes available to runners who do not have insurance that meets the requirements, or wish to expand coverage, the possibility of purchasing one by going to the registration platform. Highly recommended for all runners.
The bib will not be given to those runners who have not uploaded their accident insurance on the registration platform or, if they do not have it, who have not taken out the insurance offered by the organisation. Having accident insurance is a requirement to run in Mallorca by UTMB®.
Medical evacuations by helicopter and periods of hospitalisation may be chargeable. The choice of an evacuation depends exclusively on the organisation, which will systematically prioritise the safety of the participants. The choice of the means of evacuation and the place of hospitalisation depends only on the decision of the lifeguards and official doctors. The expenses resulting from the use of exceptional relief or evacuation means will be borne by the person assisted, who must also ensure their return from the place where they will have been evacuated. It is the exclusive task of the runner to present a dossier or open a file to his personal insurer within the corresponding period after evacuation and medical treatment
The organisation will take out Civil Liability insurance in the name of each runner (already included in the registration price), according to the regulations of the competent authority in each case.
LiveTrail will be used for the timing and tracking of the runners. The bibs will incorporate a single-use chip attached to them (which must not be returned), as well as an additional chip that each runner must place in their backpack.
At the checkpoints (identified on the map) you must pass the chip control, which will be carried out manually by a duly identified volunteer, or it will be automatic by radio frequency.
Each participant must make sure to pass the chip, and assists in its control, at all checkpoints established by the organisation. Failure to pass a timing checkpoint will result in the DISQUALIFICATION of the participant.
The identification of the runner at the checkpoints depends on the chip control and not on the passing judges.
It is a reference application for your safety, providing important race information (real-time monitoring of your race and that of your friends). In case of SOS, there is a function that allows you to send your GPS position directly to the organisation by SMS. This represents a vital time saving for the rescue.
The smartphone is mandatory during the race, it must have a battery, and be operational. Under no circumstances should you use airplane mode as we may have to contact you before, during, and after the race.
Smartphones are required to use the LiveTrail® application. It is essential for your safety. For runners who will spend more than 15 hours racing, it is advisable to carry an external battery.
Check that the number you have indicated us as an emergency contact number is the person you wish to be contacted in case of problems.
Very important: To avoid aggravating circumstances in case of accident, make sure that your information is correct on the registration platform. You can update it until the beginning of your race.
Attention!
In no case should it replace a call to the Race Control Center (CECOR).
The Control Centre can send you alert messages, relevant race information and real-time updates. In the event of an emergency, you will receive precise instructions to ensure your safety, such as changes to the course, adverse weather conditions or any other situation that requires your immediate attention. Keep the LiveTrail App notifications activated so that you are always informed and can react quickly to any warnings.
In case of SOS, the app serves to alert the organisation of an emergency and allows you to send your GPS position directly to the organisation by SMS. This means that you can reduce the amount of time you need to be attentive, which is important! This does not replace the call to the race control centre.

There are several help and control points along the route. These points are connected by radio or telephone with the Race Control Center (the Control Center number, CECOR, +34 973 643 651, will be printed on the bib), where there will be a medical team throughout the race.
The help points are intended to provide assistance to anyone with the organisation’s own or public resources.
It is the responsibility of a runner in difficulty to ask for help:
• Reporting to the help point.
• Calling the Control Center (CECOR).
• Asking another runner to request assistance.
• Using the SOS feature of the LiveTrail app .
Every runner must assist anyone in difficulty and ask for help. In addition, he/she must remain next to the runner in distress until the arrival of the organisation’s staff.
If it is impossible to contact the Race Control Center, +34 973 643 651, it is possible to call the emergency services directly (particularly in areas where only emergency calls are possible) by calling the telephone number 112.
We must not forget the difficulties of all kinds, linked to the environment and the race, which can make you wait for help longer than expected. Safety will then depend on the quality of the material carried in the backpack.
Before you start, be sure to register the emergency numbers on your mobile phone !

SUSTAINABLE HEAD & NECKWEAR DESIGNED FOR EVERY ADVENTURE
Because you are that essential encouragement to cross the finish line. Because without your help and support, we would not have made it this far. Because your presence is just as important as that of those who have decided to add more kilometres to their running shoes.
For all of these reasons, at Mallorca by UTMB® we have prepared this Guide for the Companion. So that you can live this experience and enjoy all the possibilities that this magical island offers you.
Assistance to the runner is allowed only at some aid stations. The aid stations where assistance is allowed are: ALARÓ and LLUC. Assistance must be provided by a single person, in the area specifically reserved for this use, after identifying themselves as a “SUPPORTER” through their accreditation, and at the discretion of the aid station manager (the rest of the aid station is strictly reserved for runners). “SUPPORTER” accreditations are provided at the time of bib delivery. The runner is free to give the accreditation to the person he or she considers.
Assistance only has the right to access with a hand bag (maximum 30 liters) to transport the necessary products (food, clothing...). Assistance provided by professionals, or any medical or paramedical professional, is strictly prohibited. This measure is a guarantee of equity between runners. Naturally this does not prevent families and friends from supporting the runner throughout the entire route. Respect the instructions of the head of the aid station.
No assistance is allowed at any point for the ETM and CDA races.
AID STATIONS WITH ASSISTANCE ALLOWED:
SDT
AID.5 Alaró (km.60)
AID. 9 Lluc (km.97)
CPS
AID.5 Alaró (km.60)
You can encourage and accompany your runner by following the established rules.
Always in order to ensure equality between competitors, it is prohibited for a non-registered person to accompany a runner in part or all of the race. It is only allowed in areas close to the aid stations. This authorizes small family walks at confluence sites, but prohibits “hares”. There will be race marshals at various points along the route and they will be able to impose penalties in real time if the regulations are not respected.
